... it is indeed a shared 1st place, the trip was quite a while ago, but this still has to come out: We are beginners, I am also a bit skeptical (is this really for me?), but when you find such places, then camping is also a pleasure for me: Camping made easy for beginners. The rest in keywords: Warmly cared for from the welcome to the farewell, Pure well-being, Great location, super clean, a small kiosk that is nonetheless mysteriously well-stocked, right down to delicious rolls and even tickets! That’s how vacation should be. For us, this place alone is a reason for a vacation in Switzerland and a return to the magnificently superlative Bernese Oberland!

Small but fine campsite, very nice and friendly campsite managers, helpful and with many great tips for excursions. The site is very centrally located, just 5 minutes on foot to the train station. Exceptionally clean sanitary facilities. Highly recommended.

Camping Oberei is a "hidden gem" among campsites in the Bernese Oberland. From many plots, you have a great view of the "Big Three", Jungfrau, Mönch, and part of the Eiger, and in the evenings, you are often rewarded with a magnificent display of colors on the snow-capped peaks. The site is optimally located if you want to experience mountain tours in the hiking areas around Interlaken, Grindelwald, and Lauterbrunnen. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the train station in Wilderswil, where you can catch a train to these locations and from there easily and quickly reach all the peaks of the Bernese Oberland. But even the nearby surroundings of the campsite are ideal for short and long walks. Extensive cycling tours on the Bödeli (plain around Interlaken) and around the two lakes are not impeded by any major inclines, making Camping Oberei a good starting point for this as well. At night, the site is very quiet, and during the day, you can hear a little traffic to the Lütschinentäler. The sanitary facilities are simple but complete and - much more importantly for us - very clean. The campsite has a small kiosk with a rich assortment for its size. At the kiosk, you can also get many detailed information and tips about the surroundings, hikes, and events. You can even buy train tickets there easily, so you don't have to wait at the train station. The most important thing for us, however, is: The atmosphere at the site is absolutely family-friendly, our children were always welcome, and our dog is allowed too, making us feel almost at home upon arrival. It's a bit unfortunate that the campsite usually closes in autumn before our autumn holidays in Germany.
