For over 60 years, we have been going to Montalivet every year. Those who want to enjoy peace and nature should not travel during the peak season!

Super campsite. Contrary to the FAQ, pets are very much allowed. Dogs incur an extra charge in the high season and are only allowed on the beach outside of the main swimming times (before 11:00 AM and after 7:00 PM). The range of sports courses, childcare, cultural events, concerts, and tournaments is so plentiful that there is definitely something for everyone.

Wanted to stay at the site for a week. Upon arrival (we were the only ones), we were initially left standing. After 5 minutes, finally, an employee came to serve us. He asked us if we had a "proper motorhome!!" After much back and forth, he said he only had a space for one night, then we would have to move almost every day. The justification was: they only had 45 spots for proper motorhomes (incorrect motorhomes are, for example, VW buses). We then drove on. The site is off our list.

Simply a great place with a cultivated audience. Very clean sanitary facilities, which is due to the fact that naturists are generally cleaner than textiles. Super great beach. Also ideal for dog owners. Sports facilities, entertainment, simply everything is available.

This place is addictive, someone told me when I was there for the first time, and that's true. Great beach, clean sanitation, pleasant crowd, great leisure offer, and good discounts for early booking.

The CHM is one of the campsites I have visited the most. Since I have always been visiting this site with my parents and now do so with my own family, many childhood memories are associated with the CHM for me, along with many years of beautiful holidays. The development over the last 20 years has also been tremendous, although not all aspects are positive. There are huge opportunities for children and teenagers, such as an adventure playground, mini-golf, open-air cinema (French, sometimes English), swimming pool, fun pool, etc. All facilities are consistently well-maintained and leave a nice impression. In the main months, the selection of restaurants, bars, and grocery/delicatessen shops is absolutely superb. I also recommend the "self-fill" wine in this small wine/delicatessen shop next to the ready-made kitchen. Despite the many activities and hustle and bustle in some areas of the site, there are also very quiet spots. You can make a lot of poor or good choices in terms of site selection, depending on what you expect from your stay. For example, the fun pool is definitely a noisy area; very quiet spots can be found in EC and AJ, while main pathways towards the shopping center and sports field are very busy all day, the side paths quickly become quiet. Regarding the sanitary facilities, a lot has changed. Modern sanitary facilities, and almost every year something has been modernized and newly built at a different spot. From the initial showers where you had to pull a chain, the development has gone to top modern well-distributed sanitary huts. Great. The only downside is that more and more former camping spots are being turned into mobile homes or permanent sites, which I find a bit unfortunate.
