Campsite good, cash payment only possible
Everything is fine, the showers are new and everything was clean. The staff could have been a bit friendlier, but the stay was not very negative. A very beautiful, well-kept site. I cannot understand all the bad reviews. Very friendly reception, the pitches are large. The washhouse has been newly renovated with new fixtures and newly wrapped doors. Otherwise, everything is very clean. Wi-Fi only at the reception, TV reception may be difficult… More

Has nothing to do with evaluation, wanted to go over the 1st of November and luckily still saw that it is closed from October to March.

Ideal for City Visit Mainz and Wiesbaden
Beautiful place shady under trees, friendly staff kiosk with small snacks and the restaurant is very good. Sanitary facilities leave much to be desired unfortunately neglected

Disappointing
Very loud, old dirty sanitary facilities, 1 night, 2 people. With dog 40.50 and the dog is not allowed to do anything, not even to pee, you have to go outside and from 10 PM the gate is closed. Too bad... to access the plots you have to remove the posts and sometimes need a very long extension cord.… More

Always happy to return
A very nicely located campsite directly on the Rhine with a beautiful view of Mainz. Very clean sanitary facilities, large pitches, and a very friendly welcome. You can obviously hear the chugging of the ships on the Rhine. The landing of planes heading to Frankfurt can be seen and heard.

The staff is very friendly, the location is very nice. The roll service works well, but one should always count to make sure you received what you paid for. And do this every time. Price performance not justified
Sanitary facilities are in urgent need of renovation... no TV reception, nice location for cycling. But not justified for this price. 1 night, 2 adults, 1 child 5 years, 1 camper for 6.99, only electricity on site for 40 euros, I just find it too expensive.

With its idyllic location directly on the Rhine, Camping Maaraue offers a high degree of tranquillity and closeness to nature. With a focus on modernity and comfort as well as easy access to excursion destinations, the campsite makes for a memorable relaxing and active holiday.
Quiet campsite with a location on the Rhine
The campsite has a total area of around 2 hectares and offers 80 pitches for holidaymakers. With pitches ranging from 50-110 m², holidaymakers can enjoy plenty of privacy. Electricity connections are available, modern sanitary facilities and a washroom are also part of the facilities. Many pitches are located directly on the banks of the Rhine, which, in combination with the trees on the site, makes for a natural experience. Dogs are also welcome guests. The campsite also has a bistro that treats guests to regional specialities and fresh bread rolls every day. All the necessities can be found in the adjacent kiosk and WLAN is also available here. Young visitors will particularly enjoy the children's playground and a large meadow to let off steam. There is also a basketball court and a volleyball court. In the warmer months, you can take a refreshing dip in the cool water of the outdoor pool, just 700 metres away. The campsite is generally very peaceful, with the picturesque Rhine and lush vegetation inviting you to relax. Nevertheless, the old town of Mainz with its imposing cathedral can be reached on foot in just under 2.5 kilometres. Other particularly popular activities in the region include boat trips on the Rhine and extensive hiking and cycling tours.
