In the Dordogne in south-west France, around 2 km from the town of Douville, the family-friendly Camping Lestaubière campsite welcomes its guests with a cosy swimming lake, large pool and a wide range of leisure activities. The site has a beautiful location in the nature of the Dordogne. Well-kept (partly slightly hilly) grassy areas, large pitches, some at the edge of the forest and under trees, a swimming pool and a small lake allow for relaxation. It was very quiet here, both day and night. Families with children (mostly from the Netherlands) spend their vacation here in smaller caravans, tents, and campervans. The only point of criticism is the "aged" washhouses, which need renovation in parts and are too small for the growing camping community. We found the price/performance ratio not quite balanced. We spent one night here with our tent trailer and dog while passing through.
