Site was clean, spacious and close to many scenic parts of the Dordogne Valley area. Staff were helpful. Pitch/rental accommodation: Size of pitch was huge, sheltered and over looking the river. Brilliant
Although clean showers could do with an upgrade

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights next to the Dordogne river. It was easy to walk to beautiful villages and chateaux. The facilities are very clean and well-maintained. We really appreciated having the compost and recycling containers provided upon our arrival. Emplacement/Hébergement locatif: Excellent pitch

the pool was welcome due to the heat we experienced. the tiny-bohème was well-equipped, very clean and comfortable, but a bit too warm. Location/Rental accommodation: the responsiveness when I needed to change the location to tiny-bohème was excellent.
Location/Rental accommodation: the prices were a bit high.

There isn’t much to say. The camping ground is quiet, clean, and has a great welcome. Location/Rental accommodation: Very good, clean, and shaded.
Perhaps nice paths between the lower and upper areas would be beneficial, without crossing the road or the field, but this is apparently planned. So good luck with those upcoming works. Location/Rental accommodation: A small drawback on Sunday evening, there was a lot of noise until very late at night, but you are not to blame for that.

The Périgord is a region to discover, brimming with beautiful places. Don't pass by camping les 5 châteaux without stopping. Here you will find an excellent welcome from the owners, in a lush setting with spacious shaded pitches and well-equipped mobile homes. Everything we needed was available: appliances, bedding, and all in a clean state.
For our part, we found that the comfort mobile home rental was missing a reversible air conditioning unit, which would have been essential if our stay had occurred during a heatwave. A reversible air conditioning system would be indispensable in case of high temperatures when labeled as a MOBIL HOME CONFORT.

Lots of trees Beautiful camper spot Very quiet, peaceful atmosphere Site/Accommodation: Size of the pitch, nice intimacy, well shaded
Synthetic grass at the pool beach is burning hot and not very comfortable to walk on barefoot, which is a shame as it looks nice aesthetically Site/Accommodation: The hedges block the view of the river, so there's not much point in choosing this spot, plus the path runs right in front.

Camping les Cinq Châteaux is located on the banks of the Dordogne in the Périgord noir, in the centre of the "Valley of the Five Castles" in the heart of France. Here you can enjoy nature while admiring the many sights for which the region is famous.
Camping les Cinq Châteaux in Vézac is nestled in the historic valley of the five castles on the banks of the Dordogne. The five castles are clearly visible from the campsite. The site has spacious pitches and comfortable rental accommodation offering optimum comfort. Guests can use the snack bar or the bread roll service to avoid having to cook for themselves. There is a pool and paddling pool to cool off in, while children can let off steam in the playground or take a pony ride.
The best way to explore the area around the campsite is by bike. Towering high above the banks of the Dordogne are five fortified castles with thick stone walls. The 12th-century Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is an impressive sight, with replicas of medieval attack machines on its bastion. The replica of the world-famous Lascaux Caves in Montignac is also well worth a visit. If you like, you can go canoeing on the Dordogne or take advantage of the well-signposted network of hiking trails that criss-cross the entire region.
