In the summer of 2018, we stayed for 10 nights at the site, and we were very kindly received. We were able to overcome the language barriers well with hands and feet. The site is a small family-run business that always strives to ensure that the guests are comfortable and that the facilities are well-maintained. Stefan (the site operator) often asked if everything was okay or if anything was needed. The in-house outdoor swimming pool is quite new, clean, and offers fun for both big and small with 2 pools, 3 slides, and a whirlpool. The well-known hiking dune (Arcachon) and Bordeaux for strolling are easily reachable by car (about 30). The 10-minute drive to the wonderful Atlantic was also not an issue, there were plenty of parking options available and free. The sanitary facilities were indeed old but top-notch and clean. Warm water was available for free and did not have to be paid for separately. I believe that a trip there is truly recommendable; if one is looking for a party atmosphere at a site, one is in the wrong place, but there you can let your soul dangle and relax.
