In the heart of the wild and romantic Ardèche countryside, Camping Le Ventadour is an ideal base for exploring the region. Halfway between Lyon and Montpellier in the south of France, around 1 km from the historic town of Meyras, Camping Le Ventadour invites you to enjoy an eventful holiday. The 130 pitches are located on a well-kept 5-hectare site. Some of them are shaded by mighty trees. If you don't want to bring your own caravan, you can rent one of the 15 well-equipped mobile homes with two or three bedrooms. Dogs are very welcome at the campsite, which is run by a pair of twins. The amenities also include a cosy restaurant, which serves salads, meat dishes and pizza from June to August. Guests can also enjoy an ice cream coup here. In the evening, it's best to relax with a glass of Merlot or Sauvignon on the terrace. Oven-fresh bread rolls for breakfast are available at reception. The most popular meeting place at Le Ventadour campsite during the warmer months is the banks of the Ardèche. The sandy private beach is a great place to splash around. Two natural pools in the river, separated by a waterfall, are ideal for swimming. There is also a playground for the youngest guests. Older guests enjoy the volleyball court, the two table tennis tables and the boules area. In summer, holidaymakers get to know each other during the entertainment and take part in karaoke and music evenings.
