The place is charmingly laid out. The pitches are not strictly parceled, making everything feel relaxed. The pool is sufficient for cooling off. The restaurant, also well-visited by locals, is decent with a limited menu. The service at the reception is very friendly, less so in the restaurant. The sanitary facilities are clean but in need of renovation. Overall, we felt very comfortable for three nights and even stayed a day longer than planned.

We made a stop at the campsite and stayed there for one night. The campsite is beautiful and lovingly laid out, the pitch is large enough for campers and tents. The sanitary facilities are aging but clean. We are happy to recommend the campsite.

Even though one occasionally hears a train, we perceive the place as very peaceful, coming here regularly for 12 years. Last year there was a change of ownership. There are now French people here, but the young woman at the reception also spoke German. The washroom is a bit old, but it is thoroughly cleaned.

The lady at the reception was super friendly. Unfortunately, I do not speak French. However, I was able to communicate well in English. The parking spaces are also suitable for large caravans. There is shade from the many tall trees. The washroom is already older. Unfortunately, there is no soap available. Each guest brings their own toilet paper or grabs the expected amount at the entrance. In terms of cleanliness, there is nothing to complain about overall. However, there are also joints that are no longer as nice. We have already visited the site a second time during our trip for two nights and always stood directly by the water. Those with a canoe can paddle directly on the Cher River from the site. In 10 minutes by bike, you can reach the Château de Chenonceau. during the day, the site is mostly quiet. Only occasionally is the peace interrupted by smaller excursion boats. At night, the site is very quiet.
