Camping Le Mas Sud Ardèche

Last year, I stayed with my family (3 generations / 10 people) at this campsite, which we discovered many years ago while passing through. There's a children's pool with multiple slides and a swimming pool beside it. A bar, snack area, pizzeria, and music and dancing on some evenings. Guided hikes, archery, yoga, and canoe rentals are also available. The equipment on the children's playground has been renewed, alongside a petanque court and a soccer field, as well as an excellent beach volleyball court, all placed at a sufficient distance from the pitches. The pitches are spacious, with a lot of choices in shade, partial shade, or sun. A young forest is growing and filling the gaps left by a storm that occurred a few years ago. The staff is helpful, friendly, and even makes an effort to speak in German and English. For kids, it’s a paradise. They can move freely around the campsite. The sandy beach is only 100 meters away along the gently flowing Ardèche.

There was no one present, neither upon arrival at 16:50, nor the next morning at 8 am, nor at departure at 10 am. There were used and neglected food containers left open. A garbage bag was lying open on the floor. The sanitary facilities were very basic... Sensitive guests may feel disturbed by the steel railway line 100 meters away. I had no issues with it. Campsite/ Rental accommodation: No service at the campsite.

Large campsite with a swimming pool, the sanitary facilities are outdated but clean. By the river Ardeche. Pitch/Accommodation: Nice place.

Camping that is improving. We have been coming here for 5 years, and it needs a competent manager who has control over everything. Pascal does his job very well, and we hope he stays.

The snack area really needs to be improved, the sanitary facilities need refurbishing, and we are waiting for a proper swimming pool. The service at the youth snack is incompetent; they seem to be on vacation, definitely not here to work; what a shame, that’s a real loss of revenue.

We had a wonderful stay at this friendly and family-oriented campsite. The entire staff is lovely and accommodating. Everything is simple and hassle-free, which is really nice! The proximity to the beach at Pont Cassé and the availability of canoes are also highlights. We will be back next year! Location/Rental accommodation: Free sites and very shaded spots.

The showers are a bit rustic, and having the option to choose the water temperature would be great.

We had a very pleasant stay at your campsite. The site was very nice, shady, and enjoyable. The sanitary facilities were very clean. Kudos to the very smiley person. The bar was great, and the staff was very friendly. The snacks were delicious (fries, nuggets, and pizzas). The children loved the bouncy castle and the playground. The nearby beach is an added bonus. It's a pity that we only noticed the direct access to the campsite at the end. Canoeing is an activity to do; plus, it's free, which is fantastic. Cons

There's nothing to improve, but the trains can be surprising; however, you get used to them. A sign for beach access would be helpful.
