Campsite Intro

Le Colobier campsite in Culoz is located between crystal-clear lakes and mountains. Camping Le Colombier is the ideal starting point for an active holiday in the great outdoors: bike tours to waterfalls, hikes and climbing tours in the mountains, canoe tours and paddling on lakes or on the Rhône. Dense trees overshadow motorhomes, tents and mobile homes on the site. At the small lake of Culoz, which borders the campsite, holidaymakers sunbathe on the beach and on the sunbathing lawn. The cool water is perfect for splashing around and swimming. The historic town of Culoz with its medieval castle is just a few minutes' walk away.

👍 We have a 2-year-old toddler who doesn't need much entertainment yet. The cottage was very beautiful, spacious, and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The playground is really top-notch! Good for all ages. The lake is cold (mountain water?), but wonderfully refreshing! We enjoyed swimming there. The location is truly gorgeous! The campsite is also relatively quiet. People pass by regularly, giving a camping feel and some social interaction, but it’s definitely not crowded, and there's no noise pollution. Pitch/Rental accommodation: We had our own bathroom. That was super! The entire cottage was clean and roomy. The kitchen inventory was basic but complete. (We missed a cutting board but got one right away at the reception, so it was well solved) 👎 The pizza we had upon arrival at the campsite was really not successful, (Or is crème fraîche on pizza normal in France?) The selection wasn’t great either. So food ...

Pros

An extremely satisfying experience, a super motivated team, really inexpensive, a possible and varied activity schedule, and outdoor activities with a body of water to cool off!

Cons

It's a shame about the maintenance of the mini golf, as it is really nice. Location/Rental accommodation: Nothing to complain about.

Pros

Nice evenings organized by the campsite: blind test and concert. Good atmosphere. Emplacement/Hébergement locatif: Nice location, sufficiently large.

Cons

Emplacement/Hébergement locatif: Lack of respect from other campers. This is not the camping's fault. Noisy neighbors until late and other neighbors getting up very early, allowing their children to scream at the top of their lungs.

Pros

We came to the area for the weekend and only stayed to sleep. The sanitary facilities were clean but somewhat outdated in places.

Cons

Camping is fine, but the environment is noisy. The gentleman was very friendly, but the lady did not talk to us and did not respond to our good evening. Location/Rental accommodation: The area between the two rooms was not cleaned, with dried mud at the bottom of the tent that should be cleaned before the guests arrive would be a plus. The camp bed is good, but not wide enough. Perhaps consider a double camp bed.
