Camping Lacus

We used the site for one night, and it was actually just a spontaneous alternative choice since the previously selected spots were occupied. However, the decision was definitely the right one, and in our opinion, the site was rated a bit too low by the ADAC. The site is beautifully located in a "city forest" or a large park area (about 1 km long), directly adjacent to the town center and only a few hundred meters from the large public sandy beach in the bay of L'Escala. You find yourself in a true oasis of peace, in terraced sites under dense trees, looking at ducks bathing in one of the few freshwater lakes directly by the coast. As soon as you leave the site, you are in the bustling town center and opposite a large supermarket. However, you notice none of this hustle and bustle in the park forest. The staff is also extremely friendly; a receptionist who speaks German as her native language is happy to give tips about the area. The prices are extremely fair, or should one say ridiculously cheap for the region: we paid under 25 euros for one night (two people, one camper), and additional services such as electricity or Wi-Fi do not have to be paid for necessarily. The beach bar left a cozy impression. There is a minor deduction for some minor construction work on the sanitary facilities and the not-so-intensive early morning cleaning of said facilities. On balance, however, an absolute recommendation and a hidden alternative to the high-priced offerings in the northern Catalan coastal regions!
