We were there in July 2018, the area and nearby town Gallipoli are very beautiful. The campsite is very simply equipped, sanitation facilities urgently need to be renovated, however, they were always clean. There are many Italians there, hardly any Germans. The restaurant and kiosk are very good. Prices are very affordable. The beach is unfortunately a bit small, but since we were there outside of the season in July, it was not too crowded. Otherwise, this area is highly recommended, but you need a vehicle (car/motorbike).
