Camping La Plage d'Argens

Avoid this place at all costs! Our stay was a huge disappointment. The mobile home was filthy—clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months, as the photos show. One of the doors was broken and couldn’t close properly. The so-called ‘entertainment program’ was just loud music and shouting that went on well past midnight, making it impossible to get any rest. We had originally booked for 12 nights but left after just one. Choosing to stay here was the worst decision of our vacation.

We were there in June 2023. Price/performance 👍 Small animation for children. Playground/bouncy castle. A restaurant with good food but very expensive drinks. Small supermarket, also expensive. Next HyperCasino is 5 km away. The area was well maintained. Our mobile home was 2 years old and wonderful. We found the location very good, as it's easy to get to Frejus, Cannes, and also to St. Tropez from here. Campsites are more towards the country road and noisier. The pool complex (heated) with a whirlpool and 2 slides was ideal for us and our children. For older children, however, it quickly gets boring. Canoeing on the Argens is possible directly from the campsite. Also exciting: the French army trains directly across the river 😎 From 2024, the site will no longer be operated by Tohapi. Therefore, dogs are only allowed in the simple mobile homes. That’s why we will not come back. Otherwise gladly.

Very nice furnishings, good location, clean restrooms

Generous plots, partially shaded. Few washing facilities and toilets, and they are quite old. There is an urgent need for renovation. At least they are clean, which unfortunately cannot be said about the dog showers. The beach is about 700 meters away. So, there is always a small walk through the nature reserve. The beach itself is unfortunately not clean; the campsite cannot be blamed for this, but the beach resembles a dump. At least dogs (on a leash) are allowed. The beautiful and clean beach of Saint-Agulf is about 900 meters away. The extra meters are definitely worth it. The trees at the emptying station are dangerous for motorhomes, as the clearance height is under 3 meters in places. Unfortunately, there are no warning signs for this, and the roof or railing of the camper bears battle scars from it. So, better to look twice - I didn’t do it and now have a dented alcove and a crushed roof railing.

A beautiful and nicely located place, but it has some shortcomings. The sanitary facilities are clean, but they show signs of wear and there are simply too few shower options. Water sources are scarce and the site is only conditionally suitable for long combinations.
