Friendly reception, pitch in the shade (very pleasant climate in the sun), short walk to the great long sandy beach, dogs are no problem at all, nice pool area (small but fine), charcoal grilling only on permanently installed grills (fire safety), animation okay (unfortunately only in French, but nice), restaurant okay, no free wifi at the pitch.

We (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 13) stayed for 5 nights on a pitch (of the Premium category) with our own shower facility. Nice spot under old tree cover. The pitches are large enough and mostly shady. The private shower facility with its own rinse-off space outside is okay but difficult to keep clean due to a lack of an entrance area / doormat. A pitch of the Standard category would also be fine since the other sanitary facilities are good and clean. Great pool area. In the camping shop, you can find everything for daily needs. Canoe rental directly at the site; we did the 15 km tour, and the pick-up service after the tour worked great.

A very beautiful campsite with great facilities. New swimming pool. With direct access to the river where canoes can be rented. There is a small shop nearby. The comfortable bungalows with air conditioning were fantastic. In short, very nice holidays at a very beautiful campsite! We gladly recommend it.

The campsite impresses with its picturesque location in the French national park. Holidaymakers at Camping La Grand'Terre enjoy the view of the rock formations and the numerous swimming opportunities directly on site.
Camping La Grand'Terre is located directly on the north bank of the Ardèche, which flows particularly calmly here. The sand and gravel bays are ideal for sunbathing and relaxing, while adults and children can also swim in the clear waters of the river in the summer months. An alternative is the huge open-air pool directly on the campsite, which is surrounded by a number of sun loungers. Active holidaymakers can set off from the campsite on hikes through the impressive Ardèche Gorge. Camping La Grand'Terre also rents out bikes and e-bikes for exciting excursions through the largely unspoilt nature in the surrounding area.
The campsite is located in the south-east of France in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes department and is just over 3 kilometres from the medieval town of Ruoms. All pitches on the site have their own spacious plots. Travellers can also find fully equipped and high-quality mobile homes for rent here. The upmarket Camping La Grand'Terre has its own well-stocked supermarket, snack bar and restaurant. With the bread roll service, holidaymakers can have breakfast delivered directly to their pitch or mobile home. Some of the adapted sanitary facilities are accessible for wheelchair users and other guests with limited mobility. Of course, there are plenty of facilities for washing clothes and Wi-Fi is available to travellers free of charge. Camping La Grand'Terre is extremely family-friendly and offers a paddling pool, a children's playground and various entertainment programmes to keep the little ones entertained. In addition to bike hire, the campsite has its own tennis court and boat hire. With the canoes and kayaks available there, excursions on the Ardèche are recommended, where you can discover the impressive landscape on your own. If you want to go on excursions in the surrounding area, you can reach Montréal Castle in the north by car or on an extended hike. The nature reserve Le Cirque de Gens is a paradise for hikers. Day trips through the nearby Gorges de la Beaume are also recommended.
