A beautiful vacation, we would gladly come back again

It was wonderfully beautiful. Our children love the place because there were many other families with children and they never got bored. Yes, during the holiday it is louder there because of the children, but that comes with it, they are happy children. Similarly, the place is used by many dog owners. We cannot complain about disturbances or dog waste. The potential for disturbance always lies with the families themselves or the dog owners, and not the campsite. We cannot complain about that. The plots are small, but that makes the place cozy and campers help each other. The place was always clean. The staff was extremely friendly at all times. The small supermarket offers the essentials at fair prices, the food at the restaurant is very tasty, and the pool is just great. Only the WLAN could be better, and free WLAN on the site would be great.

J F 2/5 19 minutes ago on Google Unfortunately a bit annoyed. Narrow plots, narrow access roads on the site. At this price, even in the off-season, one can expect that access to the sanitary facilities is not covered with cardboard, but with dirt-catching mats; with cardboard, it looks a bit like one wanted to but couldn’t. Noise from really too many dogs throughout the campsite. It starts at 7 AM, scattered throughout the day.!!!! After consulting with the reception, the owner is looking for a solution here, unfortunately none found yet. Dog feces on all paths and the beach in close proximity to the site. Restaurant with inflated prices, small portion. Electricity price: 7.50 € / day. Positive: Very friendly reception, very well-kept and landscaped area.

Beautifully located, quiet, and friendly campsite

October 2023

We visited the campsite on the recommendation of my sister, who is an enthusiastic water sports enthusiast. What can I say? 2 nights were planned, and it turned into 5. And we only left because the campsite unfortunately had already closed. A clear recommendation even for non-water sports enthusiasts. We travel with a child and two dogs, and we have rarely been received so warmly. The staff is very friendly, and at least at the reception, they also speak German. The entire facility is very well-kept and clean. The sea is accessible within less than 5 minutes on foot. There is direct access from the campsite. You are greeted with a wide, long, fine sandy beach. Very pleasant for walking. If the waves are too high, you can simply swim in the pool. There is a small supermarket on-site and a nice restaurant. There is also supposed to be a takeaway, but it was closed for the week. The campsite was very nice for us to relax and swim in the waves. We were there for the first time, but certainly not the last...

Very nice camping

July 2023

The pitches are nice, but a bit too small for motorhomes or caravans that are 7.45m long, and not all pitches are equipped with water and sewage. Additionally, it is also very annoying that there is no internet connection available on the pitches, unless you buy a Wi-Fi card at the reception. I don't know if this is done to earn more, Wi-Fi is only available at the bar.

Wonderful campsite with a quiet, pleasant atmosphere.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. It has a great location, right by the beach, a calm, pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere, the staff is consistently friendly, and everything is very well-kept and clean. The sanitary facilities and pool, as well as the pitches, are in excellent condition. The pool is lovely, and I have the impression that it is even heated now in May. The supermarket is small but nice; everything was very delicious at a good price, especially the baked goods. The restaurant is also recommendable. I switched from another campsite to this one because it was too big and hectic there. Here you have significantly more privacy with pleasant fellow campers. I travel as a woman alone with a small dog and have felt completely safe and well taken care of here!

Very nice campsite, very clean, and the sanitary facilities are constantly being cleaned. Our fresh water pump broke down; we reported our problem at the reception, and they made sure it was repaired the next day. Super, thank you very much!

More infos about Camping La Gaviota

Camping La Gaviota is located on the Gulf of Roses in the charming holiday resort of Sant Pere Pescador on the Costa Brava. It extends directly along the long natural beach and offers excellent conditions for water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers and holidays in the open air with the whole family.

Camping where the sea is at your feet

Camping La Gaviota is only separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow canal. Family-run since 1973, the site has 150 pitches, twelve mobile homes for rent and six bungalows for rent on a 2.1 hectare site and is open from April to October. It is perfect for families with children, as not only the proximity to the sandy beach, but also the playground and an entertainment programme provide variety. The individual pitches are located on a flat meadow with numerous shady deciduous trees. The beach is only 50 metres away and can be reached via a dune area that stretches for 15 km along the coast. The idyllic campsite is hard to beat in terms of facilities: It boasts a heated outdoor pool and deckchairs for sunbathing. A recreation room with a pool table, table football and table tennis tables is ideal for socialising with like-minded people. Other amenities include massage services and several computers with internet connection and WiFi throughout the site. Those who want to leave the camper's kitchen cold on some days can choose between a pizzeria, a small restaurant and a snack bar right on the beach. The campsite's own supermarket sells groceries such as fresh fruit and vegetables every day and freshly baked bread rolls and croissants are available for breakfast from 8am. Pets are also welcome! Dogs are allowed to sweeten their owners' holidays in the high and low seasons.

A campsite for swimming and active holidays in Spain

Swimming and water sports facilities such as sailing, surfing or fishing directly at Camping La Gaviota are ideal for water lovers. A bike hire service on site makes it easy to explore the surrounding area on two wheels and a kitesurfing school offers courses, including stand-up paddleboarding. Minigolf, tennis and golf courses are also just a few kilometres away. Despite the entertainment on offer, such as Zumba, aqua aerobics, yoga and entertainment, the campsite has a pleasantly quiet atmosphere. The owner family is friendly and the staff also speak German. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. Excursions to the picturesque surroundings, such as the medieval town of Castelló d'Empúries, are well worthwhile. The Aiguamolls de L'Empordá Nature Park, one of the most important animal and plant reserves in the area, is also a must for nature lovers who want to spend their holiday in an idyllic location on a fantastic campsite.
