Camping Koren

The location and layout of this site are very nice. We had a large pitch for our caravan. Proper tent pegs are needed for the hard ground. The bar is very cozy, the food is delicious, and there is a large selection of drinks. However, the positive rating of the sanitary facilities by ADAC is absolutely incomprehensible. There are too few toilets and showers, which are quite old, and the shelves in the showers are often broken or very wobbly. Unfortunately, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired: it is not cleaned daily, trash bins are sometimes full for days, soap dispensers are empty, and sinks are dirty. Drains in the showers were sometimes clogged, so one was standing in the previous user's water. The dishwashing sinks are also unfortunately cleaned too infrequently. Such a shame!

The place is very beautiful and quiet. However, the service in the restaurant is miserable. Hardly anyone cares about the guest. This greatly detracts from our overall impression!

Everything is just perfect here! What we really appreciated were the extra pitches for tents. You are not standing between white camper walls, but spread out on different levels. We were right next to the volleyball court. The proximity to the road was not a problem. It is quiet, especially at night. The friendliness of the staff and the numerous outdoor activities and offers are great. Bodyrafting was a lot of fun!

The campsite is located slightly northeast of the center of Kobarid. Right next to the beautiful Soča River, although the path to the river is narrow and steep. The facility is terraced and designed to be close to nature, without much frills. There are two functional sanitary facilities on site. The lower terrace is particularly suitable for mobiles and caravans; there is also a separate, car-free tent area. The upper terrace accommodates all forms of camping; I recommend steel pegs. The designated tent sites partially have electricity. On site, right next to the reception, there is a small snack bar (from 4:00 PM), a mini shop, and a playground. The site is also a very popular starting point for canoeists and "paddlers" of all kinds. This is also the main target group of the campsite. Around the campsite, there are also several hiking, biking, or mountain biking trails – aimed mainly at experienced and trained recreational athletes.

Perfect for a stopover. Located right on the Soča. From here, you can see a lot. However, it can also be very warm in the summer. But you can cool off nicely in the river.

The place is very clean. The staff is very nice. You can take a free shuttle from here to the Heiliggeist Memorial Church or to a gorge. In the village itself, there is a museum about the battles of the First World War.

Very beautifully situated campsite in the Soca Valley with bathing opportunities at the river. Clean and well-maintained sanitary facilities, friendly and helpful reception staff. Several areas with parcels for caravans and motorhomes and many pitches for tents in the forest. Despite full occupancy in the peak season (early August), a pleasant atmosphere. Shopping options/supermarket in the village easily reachable on foot, but there is also a small shop and restaurant on site.
