Very nice place. Modern sanitary facilities. WLAN is expandable. In some places the reception is almost null, despite the antenna outside. Paths in the southern area are sometimes severely narrowed by bushes. When driving with a motorhome/caravan, it can be very narrow in some places.

We were at the Kirnermarteshof for the first time and were more than excited from the very beginning. At the reception, we were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable right away. During our tour of the site, we first checked the sanitary facilities and were absolutely thrilled here as well. The older facilities have indeed aged, but that doesn't matter at all, as these are evidently well maintained and modernized. The new sanitary facilities definitely play in a very high league. The showers are extremely large (estimated about 2m x 3m) and modern. Both facilities always had warm/hot water and were very clean. There is nothing to complain about here! The site itself is also very nicely located and offers a beautiful panorama. Due to the terraced shape of the site, there are some paths that create a connection from top to bottom or vice versa. However, these are very steep and not really usable. One could consider putting in small steps here. However, perhaps the owner does not want that at all, which I would understand. The paths are also generally very short, so this doesn't really matter. I would have wished for a little more farm flair. There are horses, goats and pigs, but they are on the other side of the street. They're somehow there, but not really. Adults probably think more about this than necessary, as the children really enjoyed it very much. The restaurant, which is located on the site and has a nice playground in front of the door, is highly recommended. The menu is manageable, but the quality is excellent. The schnapps "Waldrausch" is highly recommended; it really is something very special. What could be improved are the disposal stations for gray and black water, which we and some other guests found a bit inappropriate. It consists of an open bucket, which does fulfill its purpose but could be uncomfortable for passing guests. At the upper part of the site, there is only a ground shaft available, which is also freestanding. The spots that are directly next to the drainage are then significantly affected by the smell (only at the moment of emptying and when no additives are used). Here the owners should consider enclosing these two stations - at least the lower one; the upper one with the shaft is, of course, suitable for motorhomes. Overall, it’s a wonderful site that we can warmly recommend. We had a beautiful time and will definitely come back again. Respect to the owners for delivering such a great overall picture. Strong performance!

TOP: Very beautiful location, close to nature, with its own farm, everyone very friendly, TOP sanitary facilities We arrived spontaneously and found the place SUPER right from the start! Nestled in a beautiful landscape, next to the farm and everything very close to nature. The owners and staff are very friendly, provide tips about the area, and maintain a pleasant family atmosphere. A look into the neighboring farm seems never to be a problem, and one quickly gets into conversation. During the main season, a lot seems to be done for the little guests. Perfect would be too simple - therefore, a few suggestions for improvement: There was little lighting throughout the campsite (motion sensor lamps would be great), it could have one more path/stairway leading down from the terraces, the electric boxes were a bit older and unfortunately very far away. Sanitary facilities: Rarely have I seen such a great and modern building on a campsite. Very nice, barrier-free! and overall clean. Unfortunately, many leave the dishes, toilets, or showers not clean. That is very unfortunate! To get to the campsite, you have to drive up a mountain - winter tires are definitely advisable in winter weather.

The many advantages have already been described, so here are the disadvantages briefly: Reception staff are somewhat unmotivated. Cleaning intervals in the sanitary area are sometimes too long. You have to use a public street to get to the sanitary building. Why not just build a few steps between the terraces? Nevertheless, a clear recommendation.

We really liked the campsite with the shed and access to the associated farm and daily fresh milk. For families and children, it is a true holiday paradise regardless of the season, and for singles, couples, seniors, and athletes, there are many great outdoor opportunities such as hiking, cycling, mountain biking, swimming, bathing, skiing, and even paragliding. The staff and the reception are very helpful and always had good, quick answers and solutions ready, even lending power adapters to other guests. In the shed, which the staff also manages, there were delicious tarte flambées, fries, or a thirst-quenching drink from non-alcoholic beverages in all variations to regional beer and even the homemade schnapps from the farm itself, and the service also shared a few traditional stories or games with the drinks. Hospitality and tradition cannot get simpler or better than this. Top! A few improvements are also needed here (after all, one wants to improve and not stand still): - The washrooms and toilets can receive more consistent cleaning throughout the day, and there were no signs (that some guests might need to read) indicating how to keep the rooms clean after use. Overall, having 3 showers and 5 toilets each for women and men was a bit small and manageable. (Note: We heard that these rooms are to be renovated or rebuilt in 2019). - There is a very large area for permanent campers and only a few camper parking spaces that are actually available. Without prior phone reservation, the site is very often fully booked. Maybe there could be a more flexible area for day or week parking spots without considerably enlarging the area. - The road to the farm could be traffic-calmed to not endanger the children with the 30 km/h speed limit. (Apparently, residents are annoyed with their cars.)

Camping Kirnermarteshof invites families to enjoy a nature and activity holiday on the farm. Children of all ages love to take part in the leisure programmes on offer and come into contact with the many animals on the holiday complex.
The family-friendly campsite is located right next to a farm in the Black Forest municipality of Oberried and offers both young and old animal lovers great insights into the life of farmers. Here, youngsters have the opportunity to help milk cows, feed cute little calves and bring the grazing animals into the barn to sleep. If the offspring are crazy about horses, they can stroke and ride shaggy ponies all day long. Camping Kirnermarteshof promises a peaceful natural idyll surrounded by rolling fields and wooded hills. A total of 42 pitches are available for holidaymakers on flowering orchards where cows and horses graze. The plots measure between 75 and 120 square metres. While children drink fresh milk and snack on home-picked fruit, parents can savour liqueurs and schnapps from the farm's own distillery. Those seeking relaxation can reserve moments of relaxation in the private wellness area and treat themselves to a sauna session or a romantic milk and honey bath for two in the large wooden tub. The youngest ones will certainly enjoy a ride on the tractor and romping around in the adventure playground. The Steinwasen Park is a nearby family excursion destination with a variety of leisure attractions such as the Spacerunner bobsleigh, summer tobogganing or a wild water ride. Those who are drawn to the surrounding mountains can climb the Feldberg or hike to the rushing Todtnau waterfalls.
