Camping Kastraki

Very friendly and helpful operators, beautiful large areas in the pine forest, direct access to the crystal clear water/sea, shopping opportunities and taverns nearby (e.g. Drepano, Tolo), ideal base for excursions, e.g. Hydra, Spetses, Mycenae, Typhon, Epidaurus, Argos. One of our favorite spots in the Peloponnese, this time we stayed for 14 days. Absolute recommendation.

Great spacious site with direct beach access, small supermarket available and also a private bathing cove. Furthermore, there are great hiking trails and about 5 minutes away a great restaurant. The site has free WiFi.

Positive: the beach is really beautiful and the nearest town (Tolo) is not far away. Restaurant recommendation: Maria's Restaurant in Tolo - really great! Negative: everything else! The site is unkempt, the sanitary facilities are in very poor condition, about 30 years old and never renovated. You rarely find something like this anymore. Moreover, it was unkempt during our stay and it was obvious that no cleaning had been done for a long time. The site is too expensive (motorhome, 2 persons, pre-season €30) and the plots are tiny. Now in the pre-season, it didn’t matter because there were only a few visitors, but in the main season that would certainly lead to absolutely overcrowded conditions. The reception was extremely curt and indifferent, didn’t even know where the disposal was, which we then had to look for ourselves. Shop and restaurant closed, but okay for the pre-season. How the ADAC came up with 3 stars here remains a mystery. My tip: steer clear!!!
