Camping in the Olive Grove

The place is completely in the hands of active tourists. VW vans dominate here. The Mani is practically right at the doorstep. Stoupa itself is the ultimate tourist boomtown. Nowhere are more new villas being erected. Rightly so, the coastline and the towns are picturesque and offer great restaurants. The campsite is ideally located within walking distance to two beautiful beaches. However, those seeking solitude are out of place here. We really liked the spacious pitches in the olive grove. However, there are minus points for the sanitary facilities.

Well, - well-located site directly in the village, so minimarket and bar are not really necessary - sanitary facilities with 70s charm but clean, some items are new. - warm water is okay - lots of shade - top Wi-Fi - near the beach Otherwise, the site is really a bit run down, you can see that in every corner. The price/performance ratio is fine.

Ideal for Swimmers

We arrived here at the end of August, with free site choice and many options. Very beautiful planting (olive trees, eucalyptus, plane trees, and others). The place is not for the fancy and those seeking entertainment, but ideal for real campers who do not require the most modern facilities. Short distance to the beach, which is indeed covered with umbrellas and sunbeds but has ideal swimming in the sea (no water shoes needed). We are thrilled and feel very comfortable here. Price-wise affordable, extremely so in the off-season.

Nice place, very quiet

Highly recommended. Lots of shaded spots under tall trees, the beautiful beach is not far across the small road down the stairs. Sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained, large showers, always hot water.

An unkempt site, with some work it could be nice.

The place is very poorly maintained, the weeds stand about half a meter high. The sanitary facilities are clean but outdated. Bread service is available, except on Sundays. The ADAC digital card was not recognized. I was asked if I had an ACSI card, which would be recognized but not at the stated price of €18, but at €20. Waste is to be separated, which is very strictly monitored by a camper. The use of air conditioning units is not looked upon favorably, and those who use them in absence will be reprimanded. The nearby beach is very beautiful, but it's operated conventionally. There are three taverns there, I can recommend the middle one.

Rip-off: First no ADAC discount, only after discussion and lies

May 2022

The site is nice and simple, close to the beach, with bread roll service. But beware: I showed my digital ADAC camping card and wondered why the price was so high (€38 for car and caravan with electricity, 2 adults, 2 children). I asked if it wouldn't be cheaper with the camping card. The discount had already been deducted, otherwise it would have been more expensive. I referred to the posted prices, which matched exactly what was on my sheet, and asked how that could be. The man didn’t want to answer; he would first show me the site (no choice of spot). I asked again, and he stammered, then said, well, he couldn’t accept the digital card because anyone could easily forge it. I showed him that I opened it in the app, including the receipt, but he insisted: only the plastic card is valid here. After further discussion, he called his boss, who then gave a €5 discount per night (according to the website, it’s €6), but I didn’t want to discuss further. It just leaves a bad feeling, even though the site itself is nice and the price is perfectly okay.

One of the worse places in Greece

Maegit

May 2022

What is asked for, 24.00 €, offers nothing in return, completely outdated, repeatedly primitively repaired sanitary facilities, although clean, but no longer up to date. I would rather use my own bathroom. The parking spaces are more or less untouched nature, with no maintenance or plants, no beach access or pool, or opportunity for a drink or coffee. You can find much better and cheaper elsewhere in Greece. We won't be coming back, even though the place itself is absolutely recommendable.
