That was the last straw

Well, where do I start. It was good that the site is close to the old town. 10 minutes by bike. The camper area is flat and large. That's it. Electricity via scattered mobile boxes with Schuko plugs. The kicker is the shower container. Old, dirty and the icing on the cake was that it costs 50 cents extra. We went to the sanitary building, which is located in the permanent camper area. It looked better from the outside. But I was wrong. I have seen a lot, but this was the last straw. It smelled musty, like old rags. The sinks were dirty and the kicker, showers and even the water cost extra. The showers were dark and filthy. All of this for the ridiculous price of 34 €/night. Conclusion: 90% permanent campers, hence the charm of a colony. One star is already too much. Bad is an understatement.

A beautiful weekend - Sanitary facilities catastrophe

Very nice by the water with only a few places with 230 v Delicious restaurant on site Roermond just a 20-minute walk over the big bridge Rolls service superb Unfortunately, catastrophic sanitary facilities not usable for me - overflowing rubbish bins really terrible If all that was ok 3-4 stars, it’s only 1.

Collecting money without service

June 2019

Despite asking during registration in the afternoon whether entry after 10 PM would be possible, we found ourselves with 4 people and 2 vehicles standing in front of a locked gate at 10:03 PM - we could of course still operate the barrier behind it with the card we were given. An employee who was still present was very unfriendly and merely said that it wasn't his problem. The already paid usage was - of course - not refunded. Including the tourism tax, although we could still start our journey home that night. Very frustrating!

Near Roermond, sanitary facilities are okay. Right on the Maas. Great with the boat.

Top site, super clean and modern

A very nice, well-maintained site with large pitches in a quiet location. The sanitary facilities are ultra-modern and always, really always clean. Fresh and waste water at most places allows for contemporary camping, there are activities for children, and there is also a typical Dutch "Frituur" on site. Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with the site.

Wild West parking on a stubble field is offered as a campsite, but it is expensive. There were no tourist information at all. It is very loud, there is no security or supervision, which is a pity because the location is ideal in the shade of Roermond with a beautiful view of the city. Anyone who loves Ballermann will be fine there.
