The place has now become one big construction site. From early in the morning, you can hear the construction machines. The sanitary facilities are in very poor condition and are only cleaned very superficially. As a result, prices have risen disproportionately. The playgrounds are partially damaged and are no longer being repaired. Children can easily get hurt there. This used to be a very nice campsite, but it is no longer recommended.

The site is slowly being run down! Sanitary facilities are hardly cleaned at all. Showers, toilets, dishwashing everything is dirty. Leaves from outside are stuck on the ceiling and have been unchanged for 4 days... The focus is no longer on the campers but on hotel guests. The electricity keeps cutting out at the site. We have been coming here for over 15 years. Unfortunately, it is getting worse and nothing is being maintained. It's a shame about this great place.

We have been coming to the site for 15 years. In the past, it was full and had a very good reputation. Instead of modernizing the site, they now want to redesign it into a kind of luxury resort. A large part of the area is to be turned into 'luxury' living units and apartments. The campsite is to be removed or reduced to a small area. The renovation process has already begun. The permanent campers have been given notice, many have already left. You can almost feel the bad atmosphere. Even in the summer (holidays in NRW), entire fields are almost completely empty - something that was unthinkable before. The number of permanent campers is decreasing, and the tourist campers are also not coming as frequently because there is an overall feeling of camping on a construction site and everything is only being 'kept alive' for the sake of money. You can still have a good vacation there due to its location for kitesurfing or water sports. However, the atmosphere is no longer good, and urgent investment in infrastructure is necessary (cold showers during Easter, the wear and tear of time...). Unfortunately, it is only recommended with major reservations at this time. Positives: the location by the water (kitesurfing spot), a lovely little place, a certain charm from the harbor and the canals. Negatives: construction sites, mediocre condition of the sanitary facilities at a 90s standard, poor internet, bad atmosphere among the (permanent) campers. Hopefully, some common sense will prevail.

We have been coming here for many years, and now it seems to be only about the plain Mammon. Campers who have been coming for decades are getting annoyed. Campsites are being terminated so that even more houses can be built. Dogs are now everywhere (despite the ban) on the site. At the beach, there has been a dog ban since April 1st (no one cares). There are construction sites in many places. Sanitary facility (center of the site) closed over Easter. Not everything was better in the past, but the site was surely better.

Unfortunately, this campsite is being renovated so that there are only a few caravan pitches left.

For 30 years a permanent camper and always paid the bill on time. Unfortunately, in the end, for nothing. The person here unfortunately has no value anymore and has to make room for investment properties of the super-rich. It's a disgrace what is happening here right now and how people are being treated. After the construction work is completed, there will be no more permanent campers here, and only a few spots left for day tourists with tents or caravans. Everything else will be expensive rental apartments and vacation homes. If you buy one of these great expensive vacation homes, you only have the right to use this house for 3 weeks a year and only upon prior reservation. Outside of these reserved times, the "purchased property" is managed by the campsite and publicly rented out. There will almost be no opportunities for kiters and windsurfers to quickly catch the perfect wave or wind here and get a spot, without renting an expensive apartment or something similar. Too bad for how you have developed.
