Hultsfred Strandcamping

Beautifully located directly by the lake. About 20 minutes walk to the train station with connections to Astrid Lindgren's World. Meadow area with very large plots. Lake with a narrow strip of sand/gravel and a small jetty, perfect for a refreshment. Very nice staff, well-maintained site, many leisure activities (e.g. canoeing) at fair prices and a lovely little café where sweet and savory waffles are served. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

This site is not only picturesque by Lake Hulingen, but is also an ideal starting point for various excursions in Smaland. Staff super nice, restrooms top-notch, pitches spacious and even. Supermarket accessible in ten minutes on foot. We felt completely comfortable.

We really enjoyed our time here. A tranquil, but very well-kept smaller site right by Lake Hulingen with private lake access and a small sandy beach that is cleaned several times a day. Very clean and modern sanitary facilities, good washing and rinsing options. Go-kart rental, mini-golf, slackline, disc golf, boat and SUP rental. A highlight: the small open-air museum right next to the site, where you can view buildings and the lifestyle of the region from past centuries (free). The site is a great starting point for a visit to Vimmerby and the Astrid Lindgren World there. We gladly recommend this site.

During our South Sweden tour from May to June 2023, we used the site for 3 days and enjoyed the tranquility, the atmosphere, and the diverse offerings in terms of sports and culinary delights. After an extensive canoe trip on the lake with excellent rental canoes, we indulged ourselves with the cuisine of the small restaurant, especially the wonderful imaginative waffle creations.

We were here for 4 nights on our tour of Sweden. The site is very well kept and beautifully located by the lake. We had a pitch with private sanitation, which was great and we really liked it. The operators are super friendly and give great tips for excursions and activities in the area. Unfortunately, it was always very crowded at the beach right in front of our pitch, as the locals use the area for swimming. It is publicly accessible from all sides, so we always had some concern that something might disappear in front of our caravan. All in all, the site is recommended for a few days.

We stayed here for 6 nights. Check-in was problem-free by phone since we arrived outside of the reception's opening hours. We were simply told to choose a spot. Young friendly operators. Large pitches with electricity and partly water connection. We and our two small dogs really enjoyed it. We will definitely come back.

The place used to be wonderful. In the meantime, it is terribly loud, as all night long railway shunting and industrial noises come over the lake. Booking via the internet drives away the visitors. Payment in advance, no refund in case of emergency departure with a medical certificate. What a pity...

The campsite is very clean! The toilets and showers were always spotless! We especially liked that the showers don't just drip (like in many other campsites), here you get proper water - so you can wash long-haired girls' hair really well with the handheld shower. There are no marked places, you can set up your caravan wherever you want. Right by the site is a lake with a very shallow sandy beach. This is ideal for small children. There is also a small playground. The kiosk at the campsite has the essentials, otherwise there is a supermarket just a few minutes away by car. The staff at the campsite is always friendly and helpful. There is a very nice German lady working at the kiosk - thank you very much for all the information and tips we received from her! We would be happy to come back!
