Camping Houtum

At Camping Houtum, you can expect spacious and flat pitches on a well-kept lawn. A real highlight for campers are the pitches with integrated artificial grass, which keep you wonderfully clean and dry. The pitches for holidaymakers are pleasantly separated from the permanent campers by plants, but lie on a fairly open field without high hedges in between.

The sanitary facilities are modern, super clean and pleasantly heated – perfect for cooler days. There are 11 showers and 14 toilets. A small tip for the morning hours: as it can get a bit busy at the toilets during peak times, it is best to plan your visit flexibly. Hot water for the showers is charged extra.

The campsite is wonderfully quiet next to a small river in the countryside. However, the access road from the main road is quite narrow, so please drive carefully. Good to know: there is an event site and a glass recycling container nearby, so it can get a bit noisy from time to time. On the plus side, you are directly on the great walking and cycling network.

Yes, absolutely! The campsite is open almost all year round, closing only from mid-November to mid-December. Thanks to the cosy, warm sanitary facilities, it is also super comfortable in the colder months. If the grass is too wet in winter, you will easily be assigned a paved pitch.

In the morning, you can look forward to a convenient bread roll service directly at reception. There is also a cosy restaurant on the campsite for when you get hungry. If you are looking for more choice, the charming centre of Kasterlee with many restaurants and supermarkets is only 1.5 kilometres away and is easily accessible on foot or by bike.

Children will love Camping Houtum! An absolute favourite is the on-site petting zoo with goats, rabbits and chickens. There is also a great playground and even an indoor playground for rainy days. The campsite is extremely family-friendly and takes special care of the wishes of the youngest campers.

Yes, your four-legged friends are very welcome at the campsite and cost just EUR 2.00 per night. There are great walking paths directly in the nature surrounding the site. A small tip for your holiday planning: dogs are unfortunately not allowed in the campsite's own café and restaurant, so it is best to be prepared for this.
