Spacious site on a hill above Münsingen
Pleasant6
Thomas
Spacious site, largely natural (to avoid the word neglected). In the sun, you roast in the sun. Apart from low bushes, there is almost no shade. In windy weather, it is draughty on the hill. Additionally, there is noticeable street noise. However, the surroundings are quite attractive. Right next door, the Bodelay nature reserve invites for walks. The site has potential for decent, well-kept pitches with a bit more shade; having a swimming possibility would be great. The small pond is however only for frogs. The sanitary facilities are excellent. The organization is exemplary as well. Internet did not work. Price in the higher range for the service provided.

Great place for families

We were here winter camping in February. The sanitary facilities were clean and there was plenty for our little one to discover everywhere. The petting zoo and the playground with the amazing slide are just two of the many highlights. You can tell that a lot of love has been put into the details and that things have been thought through to the end. We will definitely come back!

Great place for a family getaway

We were there for the first time and enjoyed it very much. It is a different concept than other campgrounds. The grass is not an enemy that is mowed low; it is a habitat for many insects and is therefore left as it is wherever possible. We love places without permanent campers. This is the right spot for us. We always found the sanitary facilities clean and were pleasantly surprised by this even during peak occupancy. We were completely satisfied, would love to come back, and are pleased that camping can also be done differently.

The estate is a paradise for everyone, even for children. Special animals, play equipment, climbing courses, game hall - simply great. You can come with your own accommodation or rent a circus wagon, a yurt, or a safari tent. In the fest hall, there is delicious breakfast with regional products. The sanitary facilities are top-notch and the owner puts a lot of heart and soul into the place and its sustainability. Furthermore, it is perfectly located for excursions by e-bike to the Swabian Jura or on foot, e.g. on the premium hiking and walking trails >>highgehberge<<. The former military training area is also nearby, as well as the Lautertal and much more. A great little piece of earth!

Beautiful Family Camping

Very quiet location. Sanitary facilities super clean and well-maintained and adequately heated! 2 nice playgrounds on site. More for nature lovers. The farm shop offers little in terms of food, more knick-knacks.

Concept Works

The main target group here is certainly families with children, but couples who love nature and animals can also experience a lot here - the adjacent farm with the rare livestock breeds and the barbecue huts, along with the inclusion project and the farm shop, deserve support!

Almost a Hidden Gem
Superb10

The campsite located on the Swabian Jura above Münsingen offers a great view of the town and the Jura. Various accommodation options are available: shepherd's wagons, circus wagons, caravans, yurts, and safari tents, as well as a few holiday apartments. The sites are laid out on terraces but are not parceled. There are also camping spots for tents. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere is maintained! From there, you can take excursions to the surrounding area, as it is quite central. There are plenty of suggestions available at the reception. The washroom is clean, warm, and dry. Toilet paper is provided. Two accessible bathrooms and family washrooms round off the amenities. Trash is strictly separated. There are no permanent campers! We also give 5 stars for the value for money! A children's playground is available, along with animals and plenty of play equipment. – The only point of criticism I would like to mention is the access road! It is clearly too narrow; if two trailers meet, one has to reverse and leave the access road! So better check before entering!

Arrival, just a note about the estate, no usual campsite sign. On the registration, it is learned that cars must be parked in a distant parking lot from the non-partitioned, unpaved parking area for €1.50 or at the parking space which costs €4.00 per day. The paved, partitioned pitches are car-free. This is not mentioned on the campsite homepage. Pitches are natural, unmowed grass, slightly sloped, and in the high grass, wastewater connections are hard to find; service columns are well distributed, but the water taps are installed so low that hardly any pot fits underneath without coming into contact with the wet clay ground and getting dirty. Within hearing and sight of the B465 with a view of Münsingen. Paths are very dusty when dry and usually complicated and far to the newly built and well-maintained sanitation building. With moderate occupancy, it gets cramped in the sanitary areas, simply too small (only three men's toilets). Hot water is very hot, there is a risk of scalding. It should be noted that from the barbecue huts, depending on the wind direction, clouds of smoke can linger over the site for a longer time. On weekends, the circus and shepherd wagons and tipis are often used by families with children, making it bustling and overcrowded in the sanitation building.
