Hello camper. Better keep driving. This spot is not recommended. 20 years of nothing done.

Unfortunately, this place doesn't deserve a star anymore. There is an urgent need for renovation.

The place is located on a busy road.. Due to cars and motorcycle groups, it can be very noisy at times. The price for 2 people without electricity at 17.20 € is not exactly cheap. Our inquiry about showers was denied. We were not allowed to use the sanitary building or the showers, which have to be paid for with an extra 0.50 €, as "camper spot users". They won't see us here again!!!

Very loud, even at night, as it is right next to a country road. Sanitary facilities are dated and unkempt, strong smell of feces.

A very simple campsite. The sanitary house is very old, but clean. Some of the shower fittings can no longer be attached to the shower rod. In addition, the showers have high entry points. The reception was friendly, but payment must be made immediately and in cash upon registration. The previous reviews are still valid. Additionally, the site is located on a very busy road. The location for activities is very good.

Very simple campsite, which unfortunately has not received any visible investments since 1999 (the year it received its ADAC award). Sanitary building is heated. Sanitary facilities are clean but outdated and therefore dependent. 2 showers with high entry. No holding options. Low ceiling height. Storage options and space for movement are very limited. Shower head that cannot be locked. 8 minutes cost 50 cents. Would be sufficient if warm water was available immediately. Flush only warm water with 5 cents. Running time 20 seconds. Pitching rules very important to the owner. Although the site is only partially occupied. The pitches are difficult for front-wheel drive vehicles in wet weather. Risk of getting stuck. Reception... A friendly welcome is different. Payment must be made in cash immediately upon registration. Further details from other reviewers are still current. No Wi-Fi.

After the negative reviews, we had everything for off-grid camping. However, the place is well-maintained, small sanitation facilities but clean, no kiosk or anything similar; one must not have high expectations here. Shopping can be done in the surrounding villages. Just set up and enjoy the peace. We were satisfied and would come back.

We were at a gliding weekend at Wasserkuppe. There, a large banner at the building and on a glider trailer advertises that the site offers "state-of-the-art sanitary facilities." However, the sanitary facilities are hardly acceptable. The fixtures seem to date back to the 1960s. The shower facilities are controlled by machines with coin insertion, but no hot water comes out. The furnishings in the lounge area seem to be even much older. In the bathroom area, there are (presumably for guest use) ancient, rusty refrigerators, and in the wastewater disposal room, the floor tiles are so severely damaged that it looks like they haven't been cleaned in ages. At the entrance to the site, there is an advertisement "Reviewed by ADAC" (but from 1999!!!). However, we could not complain about the friendliness and willingness to help of the operating couple!
