Old, dirty, loud
Unfortunately, this place doesn't deserve a star anymore. There is an urgent need for renovation.

Not suitable for a quiet holiday
Very loud, even at night, as it is right next to a country road. Sanitary facilities are dated and unkempt, strong smell of feces.

Very simple campsite, which unfortunately has not received any visible investments since 1999 (the year it received its ADAC award). Sanitary building is heated. Camping without fuss and frills
After the negative reviews, we had everything for off-grid camping. However, the place is well-maintained, small sanitation facilities but clean, no kiosk or anything similar; one must not have high expectations here. Shopping can be done in the surrounding villages. Advertising at Wasserkuppe is "sheer mockery"
We were at a gliding weekend at Wasserkuppe. There, a large banner at the building and on a glider trailer advertises that the site offers "state-of-the-art sanitary facilities."
