Friendly, clean, and conveniently located right behind the dyke. A small, friendly, well-stocked shop. Toilets and showers always clean.

The campsite is located behind the dike, in close proximity to Hindeloopen. On foot, you can reach the beautiful little town in about 15 minutes over the dike. The highlight is that you walk directly through a sheep pen. Hindeloopen is really super beautiful and definitely worth a visit. There are many restaurants and a skating museum. A restaurant recommendation: Restaurant de 3 Harinkjes. From the upper floor, you have a great view of the Isjelmeer. The campsite has two wash houses that were modern and clean. You can shower there for 5 minutes for 50 cents. The site has a well-stocked minimarket with friendly staff, a snack bar, and a restaurant. Wi-Fi is available on the site, but it is not good. You get one access per pitch. When you leave the campsite, you come directly to a small beach section over the dike. There you can swim in the Isjelmeer. A bit further down towards Hindeloopen, there are several areas for water sports. Shopping options: in Hindeloopen, there is a small supermarket. Otherwise, in Makkum, there is a Jumbo and a small camping supply store.

We were in Hindeloopen from mid-July to the end of July 2023. The place is quite small. Nice harbor where you can eat ice cream, fish, etc. Shopping can be done at the mini market in the square or in Workum or Balk. You usually have to drive here as it's quite remote. The playgrounds are tidy and suitable for children up to 8 years old. The animation is sporadic and irregular. We didn't think it was so good. All in all, it's a great place, ideal for surfers.

Well located, kiosk open daily and has not only food in stock. Nice bike paths. Many play opportunities for children. Clean sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, the ground doesn't really drain water. The caravan was brought to the parking space by the site operators and also pulled down again for departure.

Everyone is equal there, whether children have a disability or not. Family-friendly, our children feel safe, especially the drivers pay attention, and it's always quiet at night. We love the campsite and as parents also have a vacation. We rented a chalet there. We are already looking forward to next year.

Meadows, fields and water: these three landscape elements characterise the immediate surroundings of Camping Hindeloopen. Situated on the IJsselmeer lake, the campsite attracts water sports enthusiasts as well as families who appreciate the boat hire and the extensive range of sports and leisure activities.
The campsite, which is open seasonally, is located behind the sea dyke of the IJsselmeer and is surrounded on three sides by small canals. Fishing enthusiasts should not forget their fishing equipment, as fishing is possible at various points along the canals. If you like, you can hire a boat from the campsite's own hire shop and explore the largest lake in the Netherlands. There is also a water sports school on the shore, which is happy to teach newcomers to surfing and kitesurfing and hire out equipment for stand-up paddling. There are also two tennis courts and a multi-purpose court, while children can enjoy the covered sand playground and the uncovered play areas. The small farm zoo is home to kids and chickens that want to be stroked. The flat surroundings of the campsite can be wonderfully explored by bike from the campsite's own hire shop. The small town of Hindeloopen is within walking distance and exudes Frisian charm with its captain's houses, small wooden bridges and narrow alleyways. Electricity connections are available on each of the parcelled-out pitches. The service includes emptying cassette toilets as well as supply and disposal for motorhomes. In addition to washing machines, a tumble dryer is also available. In the well-maintained sanitary buildings, special attention is paid to the needs of children and wheelchair users. Guests can use WLAN free of charge throughout the site. Catering is provided by a grocery shop, a restaurant and a snack bar.
