There is free choice of pitch right by the lake or a bit higher up on the meadow. We wanted to be right by the water and got a great spot. The lake was clean (of course not entirely clear water) and contrary to what had been reported in previous years. The kiosk or the food service is rather sparse and will disappoint people who do not cater for themselves. For us, it wasn't a problem since we had cooked for ourselves. However, there is also a list of restaurants in the area. Shopping options are a bit further away. The sanitary area is basic but sufficient. The prices are also very low. We were very satisfied with everything.

Very unfriendly team, fish swim on the water!!! Staff is always stressed. As soon as one complains, they are kicked out of the place. The water (lake) is full of algae & smells (odor) of the toilet is almost always dirty. The prices are inflated since for the money, you can get cleaner and better campsites = The campsite is NOT child-friendly / swings and slides are there but rusty & unkempt. The guests outside don't dare to say anything & everyone can do without such a holiday! The shower sprays everywhere, just not through the shower head & upon request, one is treated rudely: if you don’t like it or it doesn’t suit you, then leave!!! The lake does NOT deserve a star. Sad but true.

Actually, the location is really nice, but unfortunately you can't enjoy it there as much as we had hoped. Unfortunately, you can't really call the lake a swimming lake because it is very dirty and sometimes stinks terribly and is overgrown with plants. Unfortunately, you can hardly find a spot to sunbathe by the lake - campers are everywhere, spreading out with their chairs & Co.! Also, the entry point for the children is really questionable - only a small area has been cleared, with some sand piled up in front of it. Unfortunately, it is very weedy there, filled with reeds, driftwood, trash, and apples that fall from the trees into the lake and "rot" there. My children also repeatedly discovered dead fish there..... There is so much dirt in the reeds that has not been removed, and the bottom of the lake is incredibly muddy! The other entry points are not any better - you have to get in over stairs that are full of algae, and you can't see your feet in the ankle-deep water nor where you're stepping or how many more steps there are! It would be advisable to set up a small sunbathing area where no campers are standing, to enlarge the entry point, and perhaps to make the entry a bit more pleasant with some stones (preferably rounded). Or you shouldn't advertise it as a swimming lake, but as a fishing pond, for angling or for navigating with a small boat.... The campsite itself is quite nice, and as described at the beginning, the surroundings are really beautiful!

For years we have been coming to this site with our daughter. First with a tent and now with a caravan. We love this place. A clear advantage is the lack of parceling and the possibility of making an open fire in a fire pit. This creates a real camping feeling! Mr. Hug is always there with advice and assistance and helps wherever he can. The sanitary facilities are cleaned twice a day! Thus, they, like the entire site, are clean and well-maintained. For us, every day we spend there is like a vacation day. Advantage: Spacious area without parcels. The possibility of making a fire in a fire pit. Disadvantage: Shopping options are only reachable by car.

I must preface that I have been coming here again and again for years, so I am somewhat biased by now 😉 But I can say that this place is not only very idyllic, located in a wonderful but also very rural area, but it also represents an Eldorado for children. A lake where you can splash around to your heart's content, equipped with a rich wildlife to discover. The children love the vast freedom across a large area where there is no partitioning, where they can let loose and where they can quickly find connections if needed. My wife and I love that, even though we unfortunately do not have any grandchildren yet. We also love sitting by the open fire in the evening, of course with a fire bowl. And because not everyone owns such a thing, it is gladly provided by the place's operator as long as you buy the necessary wood from them. Overall, the Hug family is extremely diligent in ensuring that their guests always feel comfortable. And - sorry - if it gets a bit louder at times, we both certainly do not forget that we were also very young once and loved to celebrate. We still do this today - but nowadays preferably at the blacksmith's forge! Even the somewhat socially anxious posh camper, who now drives his ultra-modern home around on four wheels, can find a quiet spot for himself here!
