Rheingau Camping Geisenheim

Beautiful, quiet, well-maintained place right by the Rhine. A very nice, dedicated operator family. From the warm welcome to the instructions on site. It's true that due to the high water situation, the pitches are more on a slope than flat and even, but there are stones available to support the posts, a mover is clearly an advantage. The sanitary facilities are well-kept and clean. It's about 2.5 km to Rüdesheim along the Rhine, so it's quite easy for tours there. Shopping options are available in both Geisenheim and Rüdesheim.

The location is great, right on the promenade, yet not loud, ships hum by, toilets very clean, cleaned again at 10:15 PM. There are charging boxes to lock, clean places for washing up, warm showers that don’t have much water coming out, but it’s enough, Italians right at the spot with a view of the Rhine, which I did not visit. I would come back.

Great location, the only thing that is a bit bothersome is the nearby main road. You can see the Rhine directly from all pitches. Very nice operators!!! We will come back.

We have now been to this beautiful campsite for the second time. Even at check-in at the reception, you are welcomed very friendly and helpful. The entire site is very well-kept, and the sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. We again had a spot with a view of the Rhine, and it is beautiful when, at dusk or in darkness, the large tourist ships with their colorful lights pass by, reflecting in the Rhine. Dogs are allowed, and having 2 dogs is not a problem; of course, any waste must be disposed of immediately. Directly at the entrance, there are also dog waste bags. The site is excellent for caravans, motorhomes, and also tents. There is only a very small number of permanent campers. Attached directly to the site is the restaurant Da Nico. We will come back!

We spent two nights at the site. The reception was very friendly, and we were assigned a spot in the front row with a direct view of the Rhine. The camping spots are very sunny, but one could always find a seat in the shade around the motorhome throughout the day. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and clean. Unfortunately, we couldn't test the directly attached pizzeria because it was their day off, but it was well visited. ;) The location directly on the bike path is ideal for tours to Rüdesheim or other destinations, but it's also just a stone's throw to the city of Geisenheim, which is worth it.

Overall, it was a very lovely weekend at the campsite in Geisenheim. The staff was always very friendly and approachable. The location of the site is right on the banks of the Rhine, making it sensationally beautiful. The sanitary facilities are quite old, but they were always super clean. Otherwise, the campsite had a very quiet crowd. We would love to come back!
