Camping Ferme Pédagogique de Prunay
Campsite Overview
Campsite Intro
About
Surrounded by the authentic Loire Valley, the small, peaceful Ferme Pédagogique de Prunay campsite in Valloire-sur-Cisse, Seillac is ideal for the whole family. The natural surroundings are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Loire is famous for its many châteaux. These include the Château de Chambord and the Château de Cheverny, which are adorned with many turrets. The historic town of Blois near Seillac dates back to the 16th century. The safari train in Beaumarchais and the Parc de Beauval zoo make for a great day out with the whole family. Children can help with the care and feeding of the animals and take part in a varied activity programme. There are sporting challenges on the beach volleyball court or table tennis.
Special offers
During the French school holidays, free events are organized on the adventure farm for the whole family from Monday to Friday.

Pros
We came with my husband, and the campsite was calm. We had a chance to speak with the owner, who is very kind, and the little intern is very pleasant. The animal area is very nice as the animals are used to being touched and they are all very calm. The fact that the campsite is semi-pedestrian is a plus, as you don't hear cars coming and going. If we ever return to the region, it's highly likely we'll come back to this campsite since it's well located for visiting the surrounding areas. Location/Rental accommodation: The calmness.

Pros
We have been staying at this campsite during this time for several years. It is always very calm. This year, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy the pool, which is usually closed at this time of year. I had requested a specific pitch, but it was not available, yet I was completely satisfied with the one I was assigned. Pitch / Rental Accommodation: This was the first time we booked this accommodation. Honestly, I really liked it; I enjoyed the wooden aspect inside.
Cons
It is unfortunate that parking is not allowed at the pitches. I can understand this in high season when there are children around, but usually at this time of year, there are more seniors. Pitch / Rental Accommodation: This is the first time this has happened to me, but I had to wash all the glasses again because they were really not clean.

Pros
It was great that the pool was open (we were there in September) because it was very hot. The other facilities were closed. We had access to a large shared refrigerator (located near the sanitary block), which was very helpful since it was quite hot when we were there. Here you can still experience true darkness, as there is no lighting on the campsite. Pitch/Accommodation: We were with a tent.
Cons
However, it would be beneficial to install a lighting pole at the corners, despite the beautiful starry sky you can experience here. Perhaps a coffee machine by the pool for when everything is closed. Improve the Wi-Fi. Pitch/Accommodation: Beautiful, very large spot.

Pros
The cabin was in good condition. Storage space was well arranged. Innovative. Enough privacy. Pitch/Rental accommodation: I was alone, so there was plenty of space.
Cons
There was an unpleasant smell, as if smoking had occurred regularly. Pitch/Rental accommodation: The smell.
