Camping Europa (Torbole)

Shower rooms very narrow; daily delivery service of baked goods; parking spaces subdivided and therefore very tight: direct access to the beach; close to the center; very narrow access road

Beautiful place right on Lake Garda! Good and clean sanitary facilities! Very good starting point for great mountain bike tours and surf trips.

- Absolutely unfriendly reception - Wants to charge for 2 adults even outside of the season, although alone - More expensive superior pitch not justified - Sanitary facilities too small dimensioned, toilets with very small cabins Nearby campsite is almost half the price, very friendly and clean. Also receives a correspondingly good rating.

One should consider the site itself and customer service separately. The facility is ideally located for athletes, very well-kept and beautifully laid out. (Direct access to the lake) Unfortunately, the treatment/reception of the campers is unfriendly and arrogant. The sanitary facilities are okay, but unfortunately, there are too few showers available (3 showers for ladies are very few for the entire site!). All in all, great location; the price would be reasonable if one were treated more kindly and if the showers were in better condition.

According to the ADAC Camping Guide 2016, there is a Campcard price of 15 EURO from 27.3. - 20.5. When we arrived in April, the operator told us that there was no discount for ADAC. The normal price applied, which is around 27 EURO for 2 persons. He rejected any discussion about the content in the camping guide. He also did not offer a compromise price. We then drove on.

We were the first guests of the season; the place had opened a few days earlier than planned. Some final gardening work was still being done on the side, which did not bother us at all. Otherwise, the place is quiet and ideally located directly on the waterfront promenade, despite its proximity to the town. Communication in German was trouble-free, and the gentleman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained, just like the entire place.
