The campsite is located in the middle of the island of Ameland; you can easily walk or cycle to the village of Nes in less than 10 minutes. The beach is quickly accessible, just over the dunes and you're there. The sanitary facilities are cleaned 2-3 times a day during the peak season; there are 2 buildings. The camping shop offers everything you need for daily necessities, from rolls to beer, everything is there. The staff is nice and friendly, they speak German and English. One area that could be improved is the own snack bar, but only the opening hours; you can get all the typical snacks for the Netherlands. In the immediate vicinity, there is also a pancake house and a snack bar. During the holiday season, there is animation for the kids twice a day, and our kids always have fun there. The prices for the campsite are acceptable to cheap compared to others. For showering, washing clothes, and the barrier, you have a rechargeable chip card. Overall, a holiday here is recommended. It's also usually nice weather.

Visited the campsite in August during Corona times. The staff is very friendly and usually speaks German, which is of course an advantage; otherwise, one can also manage very well with English. The entire campsite is well-maintained. There are various pitches; this time we had a pitch with a tent right at the edge of the campsite. The path to the sea (across the dune), the route to the largest village, Nes, by bike, and the overall location are perfect and very idyllic. The campsite is characterized by families and older couples who spend their vacation there. Some youth groups are also there from time to time, but they always behave very well. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day and are always in excellent condition. Anytime again!

We were at the family site South. The cleanliness was absolutely fine. The daily cleaning was thorough. In addition, there was another control/cleaning round in the first week, and when the site became full, a third round was added in the evening. Everything tip-top. The small campsite shop provides you with the essentials and daily fresh baked goods. For shopping, we used the supermarkets in nearby Nes. There is a (very affordable) bike rental on the site. We did not visit the restaurant, and the snack bar provides you with Dutch fried foods in the usual good quality. We did not take advantage of the (children's) animation. For small children, there is enough to discover on the extensive grounds, so entertainment is not necessary. Anyone looking for a club holiday in a tent is definitely in the wrong place. In Duinoord, you can expect peace, the sound of the sea, and a fantastic starry sky. The beach is beautifully stunning and so wide that everyone can find a quiet spot. We will come back.
