Beautiful location, terraced terrain on a slope. Free choice of pitch. Water and electricity available at the pitch. Shady thanks to large deciduous trees. Sanitary area very outdated. Second sanitation building only suitable for washing dishes. Tiny showers. Definitely use the area behind the reception. Access and exit only via one-way streets. Navigation wanted to guide one to the exit. Access is lower, closer to Laruns, and significantly longer than the exit. Small sign. The lady at the reception was very nice and helpful despite lacking English skills. In the common room, there is a folder with various hiking tours. Behind the reception building, there is also a large map that you can take a picture of and use for orientation. A small marked tour (9 km) leads directly across the campsite. Therefore, there is also a direct footpath into the village, although it seems to run along pressed barbed wire. With the help of the large map, you can extend this small loop to about 20 km. A round trip over Eaux-Bonnes is recommended, a thermal spa village from the 19th century, which now resembles a movie set and ghost town, especially on a Sunday. Also a good starting point for mountain bikers and road cyclists. A person pays for one night with electricity in September 2021: 15.30 euros.
