Camping de la Plage (Bénodet)

We arrived at the beach campsite in Bénodet on the evening of Sunday, June 21st. The heat in the mobile home was stifling at 48 degrees, and there was no air conditioning. Additionally, the windows did not stay open properly. On Tuesday evening, we decided to pack up and leave, as it was unbearable. This has been a big disappointment for us since we had paid the full amount for our stay, and despite health issues caused by this unbearable heat, there was no gesture or offer made by the campsite. I regret the lack of commercial gesture from the management. Location/Rental accommodation: poor equipment due to the lack of air conditioning and non-opening windows.

Beautiful, modern mobile home – referred to here as a chalet, probably due to its wooden exterior or because it is a different category from the other mobile homes or newer? – comfortable, well-arranged, with no direct line of sight in this row, the campsite is very wooded, the aquatic area is vast, with a large heated and covered pool, a smaller unheated outdoor pool, slides, and a jacuzzi... The campsite is very well located right at the end of the promenade, just 10 minutes walk from shops. On the downside, there is no snack bar, no bread depot, no entertainment in late June, and no air-conditioning in the chalet. Location/Accommodation: Beautiful accommodation.

Cons

Two loungers for reading would be appreciated in the chalet, and more umbrellas at the pool. Location/Accommodation: The hedges could be trimmed better.

👍 The site, the geographical location, the swimming pool, the atmosphere Location/Rental accommodation: Clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped! 👎 The customer service was dreadful in a crisis situation: "Sir, I fully understand that your issue is the most important to you, but I have a campsite to manage." The unprofessional handling of the bed bug issue (no, spraying a commercial insecticide doesn't solve the problem, and the team doesn't seem trained at all on this issue). A ridiculous financial compensation (one day's rental) while our stay was entirely ruined by this problem. It is worth noting that another mobile home was offered to us immediately, which is a plus point! Location/Rental accommodation: The presence of bed bugs!
