South-east of Toulouse, idyllically surrounded by the Pyrenees mountains, the family-friendly Camping de Foix campsite promises peaceful holidays by the river. The campsite is located 3 kilometres from the town of Foix on the banks of the Ariège. Tall trees on flat meadows provide welcome shade. The terraces of the comfortably furnished cottages offer magnificent views of the wooded Pyrenean mountains. A pool, the indoor pool just 4 km away, the playground and, above all, the children's entertainment programme ensure that there is never a dull moment. Special experiences include guided canoe and kayak tours. The cosy Foix Plage restaurant is located directly on the lakeshore. A pizzeria is just a few minutes' walk away. A supermarket to the north of Foix can be reached quickly. Campers appreciate the complete VE station.

Three stars are too many
First the positive: the site is conveniently located near many beautiful routes and sights. There is actually little space for tent campers, many motorhomes, and half of the area is occupied by permanent campers. For the most part, their plots are very unkempt.
