Camping Cala Pola

The bay is beautiful and the seawater is incredibly clear. The beach is not large, and the locals enjoy it as well, so it fills up quickly. We were located at the top of the campsite where the sanitary facilities were lacking. The old building had a nice wooden exterior, but the toilets were loosely installed, so whenever someone showered, everything got wet; there were no separate areas with sinks. We had to go down every time to use the washing machine and empty the chemical toilet. The beach was a 700m walk and had a steep incline. The pool was often lukewarm, not really suitable for cooling off, and it didn’t seem very clean either, as I never saw any water checks being done. It was actually inadequate, and the kids couldn’t play freely. There were no slides or anything like that. The supermarket was good and the restaurant too, all in Ibiza style. Accessing the camping spot with a caravan was a nightmare. The curb and the height difference of about 50cm made it nearly impossible. The car wouldn't fit. We sustained damage in the camping parking lot.

The camping spots are very small, without a mover or help you can't get to the spot because there is a curb. It's not even possible with the car as the street is too narrow and there are no possibilities to turn around. The street is just wide enough for the car and caravan to pass through. Leaving the campsite is also thrilling as everything is too tight. 2 washing machines for the entire site. To empty the toilet you have to leave the campsite towards the main entrance, the opposite side has then the station for 2 euros per emptying. The entire wet areas are unfortunately dirty, and the cleaning staff unfortunately can't keep up, but it also depends on the campers themselves as they leave it dirty. 4 showers per house. The bay is open to everyone but there is hardly space, lying like sardines on site. The hairpin turn is used as a racetrack. Bad and long.

Well-maintained site located on a slope, great beach, in a beautiful bay, a few kilometers outside of Tossa de Mar.

Basically, it is a really beautiful site located between mountains with many trees and direct hiking trails. It is quiet. And the pool area is nice. The staff at the reception is caring and helpful. The small supermarket is affordable. The pitches are well visible from each other. The bay is beautiful for snorkeling. However, we would not return to this site. With normal pegs, you cannot tension your tent due to the ground. A layer of stones has been installed. I have been camping for a long time, but I have never experienced anything like this. What is really decisive for us not to book again is the hygiene of the sanitary facilities. They are only cleaned very sporadically. There is never toilet paper. Soap on request. Even after cleaning, they are only moderately clean. Apart from the children's area. That is very clean.
