Camping Paradis Bimbo

We visited the campsite during a round trip without a reservation and were offered a very large plot on a flat meadow, which we really liked. The large trees provided enough shade, which was very pleasant. Since the campsite is rather small, our 6-year-old twins quickly found their way around. The pool area consists of several pools with varying depths and sizes. The 3-slide was the highlight for our children. From the campsite, you can quickly reach the Atlantic Ocean and the Dune of Pilat by car. However, you can get to Lake Biscarrosse even faster, where you will find beautiful sandy beaches that gently slope into the wonderfully warm water, making them ideal for splashing around for children. Those looking for action at the beach will find it a few kilometers away. In short: We had a great week at this campsite.

This year we were there for the first time. Reservation problem-free, arrival without difficulties. Later on, it was not quite as smooth. Still not accustomed to caravans (small pitches, extremely narrow access roads, blocked paths). Main problem: The owner had to rebook us from a comfort pitch, where we did not fit (standard sizes, previously sent) to a side pitch. Promise of a price reduction for this. 2 months after the holiday, still not refunded. Furthermore, the deposit for the keycard was withheld and not refunded with the justification that we were not allowed to hand it over to a staff member in the golf cart. We left at 08:30 in the morning, and there was no one in the office to whom we could have given it. Follow-up questions via email are not answered, phone calls are treated rudely in French and then cut off during the wait. Too much money paid and the deposit we will probably have to write off. Positive: - clean site - decent sanitary facilities - good driving distance to the sea Negative: - for a quick visit, the lake is too far away - few showers - animation very loud until after 22:00 in the evening - pool only accessible with tight swimwear, swim shorts forbidden.
