Camping Barcelona is excellent. They offer a bus to the city center every 30 minutes, and the staff also assists with purchasing tickets for the Sagrada Familia. Everyone is very friendly, and the entire camping team speaks German. 10 points!

Do not trust the good reviews! We are currently at a very outdated campsite and are more than disappointed. The facilities are not only old but also dirty. Our mobile home has not been renovated for years and was only cleaned after our massive complaint. The campsite is located right next to a busy road with no direct access to the sea or beach. In fact, there is no real beach here and that is why this practical shuttle bus exists! The good connection towards Barcelona is really the only positive feature worth mentioning about the site. So, if someone wants to spend their holiday without much comfort or cleanliness - this is the right place for them. The staff is also not interested in a higher standard or the needs of the customers.

We are disappointed with the campsite. At reception, very friendly German-speaking staff. The site is somewhat run-down and the sanitary facilities are poorly maintained, mostly clean but no longer up to today's standards. The restaurant is okay. The pool as well. Access to the pitches for larger vehicles and trailers is problematic due to steep short slopes. Positively, the shuttles to Barcelona and Matao. No access to the beach and on a busy road with a railway. Unfortunately, we let ourselves be guided by the brochure and the many unfortunately unrealistic reviews... as I said unfortunately...

Small area with narrow but sufficient spaces with trees, but without hedges. €28 with ACSI in the off-season. Good: Shuttle from the campsite to Mataro or Barcelona City (€4 per person). Not so nice: Sanitary facilities at the level of sports fields, sometimes not clean. No access to the beach from the campsite, you have to drive or take a bus to the village. Walking or biking to the village is only possible at the risk of your life over the busy road. No footpath or bike path.

Positive Very friendly service 👌🏻 Place and sanitary facilities well maintained 👌🏻 Negative Right on a busy street Feeling like a rest area next to a train track 👎🏼 Shuttle bus to Barcelona one is full until no more goes and the second one drives almost empty behind 👎🏼 (not an isolated case, we went twice)

Booking, deposit and advance payment for a week in January 2023. After traveling over 1800 km, we were denied access upon arrival due to the dog. A part of the advance payment will be refunded directly to us. All of this in a very unfriendly manner. The place is located directly on a busy, noisy street and a railway line. To get to the beach, both have to be crossed. Too expensive for what is offered.

With its location close to the sandy beach of Mataró and its indoor and outdoor pools, Camping Barcelona is perfect for a family beach holiday. Four-legged friends are also welcome at the campsite. The nearby Catalan capital provides a cultural change from the fun at the beach.
Guests at Camping Barcelona in Mataró like to take the opportunity to combine a cultural holiday in Barcelona with a stay by the sea. A shuttle bus runs several times a day from the campsite to the Catalan metropolis, which is only 30 km away. The shuttle is free of charge in the low season. The pitches on the partly terraced site are visually separated from each other by oleander bushes and mulberry trees. WLAN is available free of charge throughout the site. Other amenities include the well-stocked supermarket, where self-catering guests can buy fresh bread rolls, fruit and other groceries. The restaurant serves typical Spanish dishes such as tapas and paella. Pizza and pasta as well as around 40 types of beer are also delicious. Water lovers can easily reach the beautiful beach of Mataró from the campsite with the free bus. The gently sloping shore is perfect for building castles and splashing around. Swimmers can also use the 25-metre outdoor pool at Camping Barcelona for a workout. In the wellness centre, two pools with soothing bubble loungers invite you to relax. The 650-square-metre fitness centre is perfect for exercise enthusiasts. The varied leisure programme also includes aerobics and yoga classes. A popular meeting place for families is the petting enclosure, whose inhabitants, goats, donkeys and rabbits, are happy to be stroked. Craft and colouring workshops also keep the youngsters entertained.
