Camping Baia dei Lombardi

Although already a bit dated, it is a beautiful family campsite. Cleanliness is a top priority! Staff is very friendly and helpful! German is also spoken at the reception. The restaurant is not recommended (waited 45 minutes for a pizza), lasagna was too 'reheated'! There are better places in the neighboring campsites!

Beautiful place with differently sized plots. We were there for the first time, but certainly not the last time. German is spoken at the reception, and they are very friendly and helpful. The beach is clean, water clear, a dream. The animation team is very personal and nice. There is a small supermarket and a vegetable stand with good prices. Toilets are very clean. Showers are great, always the same temperature you set, no fluctuations. Good bus connections to Vieste and Pescichi.

Have been there several times and will come again. Sanitary facilities very clean, reception very friendly, beach great!

Beach, facility, and the accommodation were very good / price performance for the food was rather mediocre!!! Pasta portions too small and taste like nothing - pizza just thrown together - and all of it very slow - a pizza has a waiting time of 20 minutes!!!

We have now been here for the third time with intervals in between and we are again thrilled. The place is beautiful, and each time we had a pitch in the front row with a direct view of the sea. The sanitary facilities are good and clean. The only thing that disturbed us was the loud music from the neighboring pitches until late at night. That's a disadvantage, but we will probably still come back.

We traveled to Vieste for the first time with our caravan on a recommendation from friends. The journey from Germany was generally very uncomplicated. However, the last 50 km are quite spectacular - The road connection towards Vieste is very nerve-wracking. There are some winding roads to drive through, some more generous and others quite narrow. We drove straight through from Germany and arrived around 8:00 PM in Gargano. Therefore, it was necessary to navigate the winding roads in the dark. When we arrived at the Baia dei Lombardi campsite in the evening, around 9:30 PM, we were welcomed very warmly. Unfortunately, we couldn't get our assigned spot, so we spent the first night in a provisional parking spot. The next morning, we were again very kindly assigned a spot - 2nd row, directly by the sea. Now we are enjoying the holiday here at the campsite and will soon visit the nearby villages and Vieste as well using the -free- bus. The reception advice is very friendly and happens in German. By the way: Baia dei Lombardi also accepts the ADAC membership card as a discount card. -> This should be included in the camping guide as well. Conclusion: A small personal campsite, with nice children's animation, direct view of the wonderful clear sea, a wide sandy beach without elevation differences. However, the journey (Vieste in general) must be well thought out due to the difficult accessibility. Large trailers will really struggle here.
