About

Beautifully situated on the northernmost Adriatic coast of Italy, Camping Aquileia invites you to a holiday in a class of its own. The 3.2-hectare site boasts an open-air swimming pool, which also includes a paddling pool for the youngest guests. Within walking distance, holidaymakers can reach not only the historic centre of Aquileia, but also ancient sites that are part of the local UNESCO World Heritage Site. The campsite itself is characterised by meadows, old deciduous trees and dense hedges. Facilities include a children's playground and bike hire. The on-site snack bar offers refreshments for in-between meals. The nearest restaurants and grocery shops are in the immediate neighbourhood. It is just under 5 km from here to the Mediterranean Sea.

The archaeological sites and the basilica in Aquileia are part of the UNESCO World Heritage and can be easily reached on foot from this site.

Large green space very close to the basilica and Roman Forum. Highly recommended for visiting. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but okay. Friendly staff. Especially recommended: a very good restaurant right at the campsite. Fish specialties are great, very friendly service.

One of the few campsites that are already open in March. Everything is there in terms of infrastructure, also for wheelchair users. The sanitary buildings are clean. Staff is very nice. Due to the tall trees, it is certainly very pleasant in the summer, as it is shady.

Very quiet, shady place. Perfect for passing through and visiting the ancient Aquileia. Sanitary facilities are clean but old. 15 minutes by bus to Grado. Good restaurant on the edge of the place.
