Camping an der Schwentine

Attention! Between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, there is silent time and the barrier is closed. The spot is designated by someone. There is one camp manager who wants to position your caravan very precisely. The lady is very nice. The sanitary facilities are old and dark but they are clean. Wifi is available (in most parts of the site) and very fast. At least 50mbps on the 5ghz band (2x2 mimo 20mhz with wifi 6 - Fiber optic). Furthermore, it is quiet. Some spots are slanted.

The site was just right for us. Not too big yet everything was there. The owner, an older gentleman, was friendly and helpful towards us and supported us in choosing our spot. Unfortunately, the office lady cannot be said the same about, even though she was only available for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. Everything else was okay, including the cleanliness in the sanitary area. As a location, the site is ideal. From there, you can quickly reach everything, and the surrounding landscape is a dream. There were also overnight guests with tents who were kayaking on the Schwentine that flows directly past the site. Even just for a night. There are wooden benches and tables by the stream where you can sit in the evening and enjoy the twilight drink. I couldn't have chosen a more beautiful place for my 75th birthday. By the way, we extended our stay twice 😉.

The campsite is idyllically located by the Schwentine, pure nature. Unfortunately, however, the sanitation facilities are far from satisfactory. How the site receives an ADAC rating of over 4 points remains a mystery. There are three paid showers, one for women, one for men, and one for families, dark and not particularly inviting, which is a no-go for a site with over 90 pitches. 50% of the toilets are also closed. There is an obviously second sanitation building, which is locked and therefore unusable. In the morning, waiting in line for the toilet or shower does not bring any particular camping joy.

Everything super clean and well organized! The only downside was that the groundskeeper was totally unfriendly!!! Already during the telephone reservation, one felt as a guest there to be not welcome at all, and upon arrival, there wasn't even a greeting or a smile! 5 stars for the place, 2 stars for the operators ***we will not return!!!

On our first camping holiday, we ended up at the campsite by the Schwentine. We had no issues spontaneously finding a place for two nights with our car rooftop tent without a reservation. The campsite manager was friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were impeccably clean and hygienic. There was also a great roll delivery service. All in all, a fantastic campsite where you feel at home.

The campsite is great, cozy, it is perfect for loving couples and for families. It also offers a lot for nature lovers and for people who like to go canoeing or kayaking.

I love this "simple" and small campsite. It is located directly on the Schwentine River from which you can access Kellersee or Dieksee. Ideal for anglers, stand-up paddlers, and canoe tours. A playground borders the river and invites swimming, another is located on the other side. Depending on the plot, it is possible to camp directly by the water. The sanitary facilities are clean and sufficient. The staff is great! Great for a longer vacation in Malente or for 1-2 nights while passing through.
