Camping An de Waterkant is located in the first row directly behind the dyke of Westerdeichstrich.
The campsite is surrounded by meadows, fields and marshland in a peaceful, secluded location and, like the kilometre-long dyke, is ideal for long bike rides. The green coastline is typical of the area. Büsum is only 2 kilometres away. In addition to shopping facilities, the town also offers the so-called Perlebucht family lagoon, which has a beautiful sandy beach as a special feature. The pitches on the An de Waterkant site are spread over a flat meadow area. Hedges provide extra privacy. Guests can find many regional foods in the site's own kiosk.
Family-run campsite directly at the beach entrance in front of the North Sea dike.
Self-Check-In. Located on a cycling network.

Partially divided by bushes, flat meadow area on the land side of the dike. Pitch areas for tourists without shade-providing plants and with views of fields. Separated from the permanent camper sites by a ditch and hedge.
Access to the approximately 130 m long, stone-lined shore is via a narrow public road and the dike. Access to the Wadden Sea via a short staircase. Swimming opportunities depend on the tides.

A well-kept, manageable campsite with clean sanitary facilities and huge plots. We stood on lush green grass. Everywhere you find small and nice details. For example, the plot signage in porthole design or the small but very fine shop with its own campsite beer. Additionally, it is perfectly lit at

Beautiful large lawn parking spaces. Very friendly and competent staff. The sanitary buildings are a bit older, but very well-maintained and clean. Rolls can be ordered and are delicious (from the baker)! We have been there at least once a year for 4 years.

Very nice and accommodating owners and staff. Uncomplicated check-in. Small shop, with seating outside for a delicious beer or coffee. All in all, a nice place. Right behind the dike. We can definitely recommend this place. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful and spacious plots, everything you need is available, staff friendly and helpful, laundry houses old but clean, the only downside for me is the shower cabins, they are cramped and aged, without this flaw I would also give 5 stars.

It was very quiet at the campsite. Very nice staff. Delicious roll service. The washrooms and toilets are already quite outdated… just up the stairs to the dike from the site and you are already at the sea.

Simple small campsite directly on the dike. Large, easily accessible pitches with grassy areas. Bread roll service available. Quiet location, nice for the kids with the playground. Parents can relax with a drink next door at the kiosk, where the snack van is also located with very reasonable prices.

Welcome to this family- and dog-friendly, well-maintained campsite with disabled access.
Situated right next to the Wadden Sea National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Westerdeichstrich, this campsite is only separated from the Wadden Sea by the land protection dyke. The campsite "An de Waterkant" offers above all nature and a healthy climate. Families with children can hike through the Wadden Sea or take a cycle tour over the dyke.
Since 1968, holiday guests of all generations from all over Europe have been travelling to the "An de Waterkant" campsite to enjoy the beach, the Wadden Sea and the healthy North Sea air. Here holidaymakers find peace and relaxation in the vastness of the Wadden Sea. There is a natural beach for swimming right in front of the dyke. There is also a nudist beach and a dog beach in the immediate vicinity. The almost 4-hectare campsite offers pitches separated by hedges and bushes and three spacious sanitary areas. Families with children feel just as at home here as campers with many years of experience. You can also borrow holiday reading material from the on-site library. Active campers can go horse riding, play mini golf or cycle along the dyke.
The "An de Waterkant" campsite has a relaxed Nordic feel. The tides and the weather determine the daily routine. When the tide is high and the sun is shining, families with children walk to the beach. At low tide, you can walk through the mudflats and when it's overcast, you can quickly cycle to the tranquil harbour town of Büsum. The family-friendly site on the North Sea also offers a number of community events such as the May bonfire on 30 April with music and plenty of bratwurst. Friendly neighbourliness among campers is guaranteed here. It is not without reason that this campsite has existed since 1968 and has been attracting holiday guests from all over Germany and Europe ever since.
