Camping Ametza

Nice reception, beautiful location, clean sanitary facilities, pool, restaurant, shop, everything the heart desires. The wonderfully beautiful beach is downhill, but unfortunately, it's uphill again later. Many children and teenagers feel very comfortable here. Bicycle paths along the road are also safe for children. Road and railway line are in close proximity.

Very pleasant team both at the reception and in the restaurant and shop! The way to the beach is - along the road (regardless of which direction) - possibly a bit strenuous; and also with a certain altitude difference;-). The site is very pleasant and clean. We made use of the option of having our own shower cubicle/WC (own key). This was also very clean and modern. Occasionally (about 5 times a day) a chance for plane spotters, as the flight path for San Sebastian Airport runs over the town; however, this did not bother us. Conclusion: Great site, location only with reservations.

The site is located slightly above Hendaye on a railway line and on the road. We didn't hear anything from the train, and did not find the road disturbing; it is quiet at night. The sanitary facilities are set up so that each pitch has its own shower, washing area, and toilet (with a key). The facilities are cramped, but sufficiently spacious. Additionally, some pitches have sanitary facilities on-site. The restaurant located on-site was very pleasing to us, even though the selection is limited. The small shop next to the restaurant has an surprisingly large selection for daily needs, including mosquito repellent ;). Overall, the site is above-average clean and tidy in all areas. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to Hendaye Plage, and about 10 minutes by e-bike. There, or in Hendaye (town), you will find all expected or necessary facilities and many restaurants.

Beautiful place with pool and restaurant, in the off-season €19 for a camper with 2 persons. Very friendly staff, we could even check in late at night. We were only here for 1 night on our way through.

A convenient starting point for sightseeing, cycling, and hiking excursions along the coast and inland; a descending road with bike and footpaths leads to the beach (approx. 10 min.)
