Camping Ametlla

This is the 3rd time we are here. So far everything has been good. For €70 we are on a so-called premium spot. We can only use 50% as trees are hanging over the lot. The awning cannot be used. It smells terribly of sewage from the bungalows in front of us. We won't be coming back.

We are here for the 3rd time at this formerly beautiful site. We can only use our premium spot halfway. We cannot extend the sunshades. We are parked facing the back of a bungalow because we could only park our camper (9.30m) forward, the street is completely blocked by cars. It smells terribly of sewage. For 70€, we expected a usable plot. We will not return to this site. What a pity.

Space for us only three stars, pitches large but only red earth with many stones, one hardly gets herring into the ground. Sanitary facilities clean. For the way along the steep coast, one should wear good hiking shoes. Small bays predominantly with stones. Highway and railway very close, one feels like at a rest stop. Larger supermarkets accessible by car, nearby (small market at the pitch).

The spots are sufficiently large. The beach that is presumed from the photos is not present or is so dirty that it is unusable. The restaurant is a disgrace in terms of both service and food quality! The hamburgers on the menu are two indefinable patties without sauce, bun, etc. The menu is just carelessly thrown on the table. The pool is cold and large groups of children are invited, with the supervisors loudly running around for hours with whistles, making any relaxation impossible! The highway and the train line are also very noticeable! We will never see this place again!

We are here for the second time, always at the end of September... Not a problem at all even with two large dogs, now even a dog shower... The washhouses are super clean, including the corners. Dreamy little beaches where you are often alone at this time. The place itself is still really 'Spanish', and the surroundings are great for hiking or biking.

We spent 2 weeks at Camping Ametlla; the pitches are sufficiently large and flat. Cleanliness and tranquility on the site were prioritized. At night, there was a security service monitoring the area, which made us feel safe. The offerings in the supermarket are more than adequate, and the other amenities provide everything for a successful holiday. The washrooms were always clean, although the shower stalls are a bit cramped. The beach was very beautiful; you can snorkel wonderfully along the rocky coastline or take a walk there. The town of Ametlla has many good restaurants and is not overcrowded even in the summer. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation!
