The very well-maintained site near a small lake is a popular meeting point for hang gliders and paragliders (shuttle bus to the takeoff point, landing area adjacent, flight school on site).
About 100 m away at the bathing lake, there is a leisure center and a beach (free for campers), including a water playground, water slides, high ropes course, and a Flying Fox across the lake.

The site is completely overcrowded, more campers are still being let onto the large, non-partitioned meadow. The partitioned spots are very small; even with a small caravan, everything feels very cramped. And there is only 1 washroom with 5 showers!!! That means long waiting times! In 3 out of 5 ladies' showers, there is not even a shelf for bags or clothing. And there are no individual washing booths either. Normally, there are wristbands for access control to the washroom. In the meantime, the door must remain open because there are too many people on the site, and hence there are no more wristbands left. It seems as if the operator cannot get enough. The bathing lake next door is nice, entry is free for camping guests. We were here about 20 years ago. In that time, not much has changed here. The site thrives on the flyers, but many also have families with them. If such a large number of people is allowed in, a second washroom should also be available. Camping is no fun this way. We prefer to pay a few more euros for a bit more comfort.

You can take the shuttle bus from there to the Emberger Alm, flying over the Drautal. Once you've made it, there is the option to land on a large meadow next to the campsite. Right next door is a swimming lake that can be used for free. It is also well-suited for large families due to suitable sanitary facilities. Good dining options with a great stone oven pizza.

Beautiful clean place, friendly people at the reception, use of the natural swimming area, interesting when there is flight activity, possibility for some simpler budget spots.
