Camping Playa Almayate Costa

Atmospheric a No Go. There is a feeling of having to camp under a bridge. Idyllic is sought here in vain. For this, we were charged a price of 38€ with the argument that we were not in the low season (June), so ACSI was also not accepted. (All the campsites we have visited in Spain (May/June) accepted these). Sanitary facilities are clean, yes, and the beach is very close. For one night ok, but definitely not more. Price-performance ratio not in order, the worst campsite we have ever visited. Incomprehensible: 4 stars in the ADAC Camping Guide 2025.

Very special place, completely covered with tarps where one develops a feeling of being in a warehouse. For us, this has nothing to do with camping. The place is clean, well organized. Interesting target audience with 3 main activities: Eating and drinking, watching TV, and entertaining loudly. Not for us, but a change of pace.

Sanitary clean, pool not heated, staff friendly. Too many dogs, even on the beach, dog owners let their dogs run free, undisturbed, twice in front of the tent...... In July and August dog ban, could be extended to the whole year.

No ADAC Campcard is accepted! The sanitary facilities are very clean and the beach is directly adjacent to the site. The site itself resembles more of a large gravel parking lot. Additionally, there are green tarpaulins covering that make the whole place very uncomfortable. Suitable for a stopover but not for a longer stay. The price is reasonable in the off-season.

Nobody wants to spend a vacation like this. It feels like a parking deck due to the roofing and the small parking spaces. Restaurant (nice staff!) and sanitary area were good. The beach is okay except for the dog waste. One must like it. I am not a dog owner.

The site offers pitches in several sizes. The sanitary area is good and clean. You can eat well in the restaurant. On weekends, it gets busy with families on short vacations, some also in groups.

There is a leash requirement at the campsite. It should be obvious that dog owners should ensure that unoccupied plots are not used as a dog toilet. We experienced it differently. Comments from the dog owners approached: "So what?" or "The dog needs to go too" or "I clean up the mess." We had to first remove the aftermath of one (or 2, or 3?) dogs from our plot before we could settle in. The leash requirement does not interest every dog owner. After three (in numbers three) dogs peed in front of our plot within 15 minutes, we left the campsite. The campsite owners are very accommodating, and they took our complaint very seriously. The sanitary facilities were very clean. The daily special offered for €10.50 is great, and the staff is very friendly. We would have liked to stay longer. It wasn't about the campsite.

Trees were cut down while the site was in operation, there were no jobs at all, the site was too expensive for that, toilet facilities and sanitation were clean
