The campsite is located directly on the natural beach of the Baltic Sea in a very quiet environment. For a beach holiday, this beach is less suitable, more for beach walks. Unfortunately, the nearby restaurant “Fischerkate” was closed during our stay and the “Strandräuberspelunke” also on several days. The restaurant “Gianluca,” which is accessible on foot, offers delicious pizzas and pasta dishes! The small shop “Proviantamt” offers very tasty rolls to order and the basics. For everything else, a vehicle is needed.

Those who read the description of the campsite on its own website carefully will find just that. The site is certainly not for campers who want to spend their camping life behind a windbreak at their pitch. Also, the much-quoted glamping is not to be found here. Instead, there is a nature-based site right on the beach. However, it is completely covered with fist-sized stones. Therefore, you can almost only go into the water with bathing shoes. The dog beach nearby is great, and there are hardly any stones here. Unfortunately, it happens that families settle here and then ask that you leash your dog. Thanks for that. There are two wash houses on the site, one of which is marked as "Museum Toilet." That's true. Here, the crumbling charm of the 70s is palpable. The second wash house is new and modern. However, both houses were clean and are cleaned daily. There is a small shop for the necessities and the obligatory breakfast rolls. The establishment "Strandräuberspelunke" is open from Wednesday to Sunday. The food is of organic quality and very tasty. Vegetarian and vegan options are also offered. So, if you are looking for a place with English lawn, your own pitch, pool, and entertainment, you are in the wrong place. If you maintain a more alternative lifestyle, as a rooftop tent nomad or vanlife fan, you may have found your spot here. Unfortunately, a spot is only as nice as the neighbors are. We were unlucky, and the unattended children of an anti-authoritarian large family really cost our dog some nerves.
