Beach Resort

The place is well suited for water sports, kite flying, running, and cycling. Unfortunately, everything seems quite unloved, dirty, and outdated. It smells from the sewage. However, the beach is very nice and you can spend a lot of time there. Dining out is just okay. All in all, rather mediocre than 5 stars. Too expensive for the overnight stay. As mentioned, the beach makes up for a lot. For dog owners, it is quite suitable, dogs are allowed everywhere and without limit at the beach and in the water.

Dirty and moldy inventory, no assistance from management The beach houses are in a worn-out and dirty condition. The bathroom and toilet have mold and limescale and there is a foul smell coming from the drainage pipes. The kitchen is also in a desolate state. Moreover, the communication and response from the Roompot officials and management are unacceptable. No alternative accommodation could be offered to us. Despite numerous reminders (calls and emails), there was no reaction from management until the departure day and no resolution of the problems. Not even an unsolicited apology was given. We can only strongly advise against it.

We were there over Pentecost and were very lucky with the weather. The campsite was not overcrowded; on the contrary, there was still space everywhere. The sanitary facilities were very clean. In the supermarket, you could shop quickly and affordably. We also ate at the restaurant several times, and except for once, we did not have to wait long for our order. The food was very good and absolutely reasonable for the prices stated. The proximity to the beach is simply great. But mostly we were out and about on our bicycles; anyone who likes to ride can easily travel kilometers away. We will definitely come back.

In general, the campsite is beautifully located, directly behind the dunes. About 70% of the beach is dominated by beach houses and currently, there is an extreme odor nuisance from the silt, which varies depending on the walking time. We had a premium pitch with private sanitation in the unit. This sanitation cabin was tiny (<2m²) and urgently needs renovation. While showering, you flood the entire cabin, you should best approach the toilet backward and the glass in the door constantly threatened to fall out. The units are sufficiently large but designed very narrow along the path, so that depending on the space, there's not much room left to build in depth. Overall, the entire campsite is designed very tightly, so that driving with more than 12m in length and 2.5m in width across the campsite is already a small adventure, and especially before reaching the entrance to the alley with the pitch, one must ask themselves whether it might be better to push. The paths to the entertainment facilities, such as the swimming pool, are very far away if you are at the back of the campsite. Otherwise, the campsite offers everything you need, the supermarket is well stocked and the prices are just about acceptable. ONLY the Dutch can really not bake rolls. :-) There are many excursion destinations and activities within immediate striking distance. The price-performance ratio is somewhat out of balance, and especially if you want to treat yourself to the premium, it completely tilts, because then it is just expensive but not premium.

We have been at the campsite in row 37 for 2 weeks now. The site was pleasant in size, however there was no grass by the awning, rather concrete... The wastewater below the water did not drain because it was clogged. The washing facilities are outdated, but they were cleaned three times a day. Often it was dirty, but then left that way by the campers themselves. Unfortunately, there is nothing to dry your hands... The entertainment was well received by our 3 children (5, 9, 11 years old). The swimming pool could be cleaner and more hygienic. For the size of the park, especially in bad weather, it is too small and too overcrowded... The location is really great. The beach is nice and the gastronomy is good.

Due to heavy rain, we only arrived after reception hours! The keycard reached us only 2 weeks after the vacation, so we had to wait 1 hour in the restaurant until someone handed us this and a plan! In the dark, we had to look for the parking space for over an hour! Despite the SUV and mover, it was impossible to park the car on the totally muddy spot, and we then placed it there in a makeshift manner! The sanitary facilities are rather outdated and the showers fulfill their purpose, nothing more! The beach location was very pleasant, and the supermarket as well as the swimming pool serve their purpose! The restaurant is a disgrace! The waiters are very nice but unfortunately overwhelmed, and sometimes you wait over an hour to be served! The pizza and schnitzel are pre-made and unfortunately do not taste good! The offers for the children were made with a lot of love! Unfortunately, after several rounds, we did not find a disposal station for the toilet and took it home to empty it there! Also, at departure, the car was hardly to be gotten out of the mud due to the ongoing rain! I think we will not vacation there again.

We were there over Easter and found a completely muddy pitch, nothing could be done with a 4x4 and mover. The pitch was only accessible with a tractor. And unfortunately, this was the case across the board. Future vacationers are strongly advised to bring rubber boots and a water hose. Not a good reputation for a 5-star site. Proximity to the beach is perfect.

We were overall satisfied. Unfortunately, there were holes in the ground in our plot where water collected, which was of course not optimal under the awning carpet! The proximity to the beach is great! The restaurant is okay, as is the snack point. Unfortunately, the supermarket is completely overpriced, but that's unfortunately the case everywhere. Affordable shopping options are available in Kamperland (Aldi and Albert Heijn). Camping supplies can be found very cheaply at the bazaar (just google it). The location is great; it's not far to Middelburg. Vlissingen and Domburg can also be reached quickly. The inventory, which has been criticized several times here, has actually become shabby but is functional. Other places manage to make it look nicer, but they are not as old and large. Overall, it suited us well, and we would love to come back in the summer!
