Autocamp Miran

So far the worst place on our six-week trip. On the day of arrival, we left right away, only stopped to look for a new place on the map. The sanitary facilities are terrible, moldy shower curtains, dirty toilets. Not even worth staying for a night!

The view of the sea was very beautiful but the smell that came from the sea in the evening was anything but pleasant. They actually discharge their toilet wastewater directly into the sea at the bathing pier. Where everyone goes swimming. When I brought this up, an employee told me that there were so many guests there that the treatment plant couldn't handle it and therefore pumps the wastewater into the sea. After that statement, the vacation here was over. Oh yes, there was also always cold water for showering and washing up. The value for money is not given; the service is far too expensive for what you get. The location is really nice. It's not far to the city. About 15 minutes on foot along the beach. But unfortunately, they ruin everything with the wastewater. Such a pity.

As of 07.09.14, according to ADAC, the campsite would have cost 12 euros per night. This was vehemently rejected by the reception. Even after contacting ADAC, this was denied. We had to pay the regular price.

We had booked a shaded spot with a boat mooring for 2 and a half weeks and transferred the reservation fee in advance. Upon arrival, the reservation could not be found, and the paid boat mooring turned out to be an option to set a buoy ourselves. There was hardly any shade at all. According to the receptionist, there is no shade, but trees are guaranteed. Unfortunately, these are only very small and scattered in the camping area. There was no effort or interest from the reception to reach an agreement. Due to the unfulfilled promises, we did not stay. Emails have since gone unanswered. The site is not recommended for advance reservations. The sanitary facilities are basic but clean.
