Great Sunsets
A place located directly on Lake Vänern, which we actually liked very much. We had a good pitch near the lake. The sanitary facilities were clean, and there are plenty of excursion opportunities (Göta Canal, Marienbad, Läckö Castle). The disadvantage of the site is the trunk road 26 that runs right … More

Great Campsite
So far the best campsite we have been to. Friendly staff and clean sanitary facilities. Playground and a trampoline for the little ones available. We had a great view of the lake and the sunset. Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for showering, but otherwise everything is top-notch. Would love to … More

Construction Site Next Door.
Large campsite, Sanitary facilities okay. Location very nice by the lake. What was really disturbing was that a terrace was being built next to our pitch for a caravan. Including hammers and drilling... And that on a weekend.

Great place, unfortunately only for 1 night
One of the best campsites we have visited. It could be loud and hectic during peak season, but at the beginning of June, there weren't that many families. It is a very large campsite. The cabin we had was on the shore of the sea with fantastic views and a beautiful sunset! It was very comfortably fu… More

Nestled in the untamed Swedish countryside, Askeviks Camping & Stugor invites nature lovers and those seeking relaxation to enjoy an active and fishing holiday by the deep blue waters of Lake Vänern. The crystal-clear waters are home to an abundance of huge salmon, pike and zander.
Askeviks Camping & Stugor is located in the middle of dense coniferous forests on a small bay with a private beach and harbour. For guests who own a boat, there is a boat ramp and moorings for hire. This means that keen fishermen can either set off on their own fishing trips on the large Lake Vänern or join guided tours on the campsite's two professionally equipped trolling boats. From the many 80 to 140 square metre pitches with electricity, holidaymakers can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sparkling water. The pitches directly on the lakeshore promise particularly beautiful sunset panoramas with a golden or red horizon. The modern service station and the central toilet block are heated and can therefore also be used comfortably in winter. Four-legged friends are also welcome at the pet-friendly Askeviks Camping & Stugor and can splash around on the dog beach. Despite the peaceful atmosphere and the apparent seclusion in the Swedish countryside, the holiday complex is located directly on the national road 26 between the two towns of Sjötorp and Otterbäcken, which are both around 7 km away. Travellers like to take a day cruise on the Göta Canal in the region. The Tiveden National Park, with the oldest forest area in southern Sweden, is around an hour's drive away and invites you to hike through unspoilt worlds of gnarled trees, moss-covered rocks and dark lakes.
