Arctic Camp Jokkmokk

We were in Jokkmokk in October 2025. The site is very beautiful, the sanitary facilities are okay, we experienced better but also worse places on our trip. It is about 3 km to Jokkmokk on foot (the path was even cleared). A service building was open for the handful of campers. Simple but functional equipment, daily cleaning. Friendly reception. Everything you need is there (even a working sauna).

We were at this campsite in November 2024. The price-performance ratio is top! The three dryers and also three washing machines worked well. There is also a shower that can be closed with a door. No men's and one women's sauna available. Kitchen and lounge area top. We were very happy and grateful that the campsite was open this season, even though there were hardly any camping guests.

Great campsite. Service building always clean. Directly by the lake. Friendly operators and staff. Restaurant and shopping opportunities on-site.

( no door, not even a shower curtain available, this is an absolute no-go! Shop and restaurant closed Overall very disappointing how they believe they can handle campers here.

All I can say is everything is TOP. However, we were here at the end of August and the place was only 20% occupied. A visit to the restaurant is a must; the reindeer steak, either fried or smoked and then fried, comes highly recommended. There is also pizza. I would stop here again every time.

There is a huge playground for the children, which is varied and was constantly used by our child (4). The kitchen in our service house is okay, but the sanitary facilities such as showers and toilets are either broken or not clean. Since it is summer, people talk loudly even late into the night, and the playground is still active. Recommendation: even if it means longer walks, a parking space by the street.

Once again, significant issues with aggressive guests. The helpless reception is trying to apologize but cannot resolve the problems. Meanwhile, city patrol vehicles are patrolling the premises - with moderate success. The washing machine and dryer are again functioning poorly. Moreover, the organization of who can wash/dry when is insufficient. In the washing house, grotesque-aggressive scenes occur regularly. In the late evening/night, youths occasionally cause trouble (disturbance of peace, property damage) in the area. The reception is then unstaffed. At that point, the law of the stronger applies...

Reception open Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00; closed Sat-Sun. Outside of opening hours, you can freely access the daily parking lot. Payment can be made when the reception is open, or since we only stayed Saturday to Sunday, we left a note with our email address and are now transferring the money via bank. The facility is indeed larger, but quiet and directly by the lake. Power outlet, fresh water (the hose was missing), gray and black water, waste, kitchen, cabin shower with toilet and children's playgrounds are free and easily accessible. You receive the Wi-Fi code during the opening hours of the reception. We did not see a laundry room.
